This Day in Philly Sports History - September 5, 2023

The Phillies hung on in San Diego last night and it's back to school in my house today. Oh and there's some football game on Sunday too. On this day in 1950 left-handed pitcher Curt Simmons was drafted to the 28th Infantry Division, of the Pennsylvania National Guard. Simmons would miss the 1950 World Series and who knows how it may have played out if he had pitched for the Phillies. Today we look at #14 and ask, who wore it best.
