Spider in the Attic (2021) is a low-budget British horror film directed by Scott Jeffrey himself. If you enjoyed the micro-budget madness of Monsters of War, this one leans hard into classic "giant bug" claustrophobia.The BreakdownThe Plot: A radio host named Linda (played by Nicola Wright) and her daughters head to a massive, creepy old house to investigate a potential story. Little do they know, a scientist was using the attic to breed a deadly, rapidly growing strain of mutated, aggressive spiders.The Chaos: Once the spiders get loose, the house goes into lockdown. It becomes a standard survival/containment thriller as the family tries to avoid becoming cocooned lunch.The Vibe: It relies heavily on digital effects for the multi-legged threats, heavy shadows to hide the budget, and a lot of tense, slow-paced creeping around hallways.
