This, I believe (Or, The Bottom Line that Really Matters) 3 - Why I believe in the Holy Spirit - John 16:1-15

On a long flight, a plane sets a course and doesn't veer much right or left but keeps going straight for many hours. But imagine that the plane sets off on a slightly wrong course. By the end it is in a completely wrong country. This summer we're talking about the bottom line that matters, walking through our church's statement of faith and what Christians hold to. But why does it matter? Sometimes it seems like stuff people who have too much time on their hands argue about. But if we start just a bit off, we end up in a totally wrong destination. Truth matters and I want to talk about why, specifically regarding the Holy Spirit. We believe there's one eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Like the Father and Son, the Holy Spirit is fully divine: all powerful, knowing everything, present everywhere, etc. He has been given to us and lives within us.
