This Ian Isn't The James Bond Author

If you live in Florida or on the Southern or Southeastern coasts of the United Sate long enough you are going to be in the crosshairs of a hurricane or tropical storm. Those living on Florida's west coast up into the Big Bend east of Tallahassee are about to feel that pain with the arrival of Hurricane Ian, the first significant storm of this late hurricane season (sorry global warming people).If you are in the cone of uncertainty, you should be preparing to either hunker down for a few days without water or power, or packing to leave to the east-southeast. A good resource to consult on this is the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration's National Hurricane Preparedness page at www.noaa.gov/hurricane-prep. It is linked in the episode notes.If you feel that your dwelling may be damaged through this storm, play it safe and pack a go bag and get out of the path of this monster storm.
