TRANSCRIPT · AUTO-GENERATED

Hello and happy Sunday morning. Today's podcast episode title is, This is what happens when a writer inspires you. And the subtitle is, Moved from Autopilot to Mindfulness. I'm not sure whether you feel the same way as I do.

When I hit the medium backstories tab. So, medium.com is a publication, is a medium publication. It's an online publication. You can go publish your stories, your articles there.

So there is a back office and that's what I'm referring to in this podcast episode. So I'm not sure whether you feel the same way as I do. When I hit the medium backstories tab and read the published stories, I don't know how you feel about it. I'm talking to you if you're an author, writer in medium.com, or future author, future writer.

So you might ask, how do I feel? Absolutely. Let me see. Boring and I'm inspired because I have written, so what happens is when you're writing, you're taking some time to think, to write, to edit, and then send it to the publisher.

Or if it's self publishing, you publish yourself. Already you've spent so much time on your thinking, and publishing, and editing, and all that stuff. So going back and reading once it's published, it's boring and uninspired. Why?

Because I'm on autopilot mode for creating new content and publishing instead of free purchasing. You know what? If you are in the online world, digital world, marketing world, publishing world, and I think in today's economy or today's market, you need to know all these things. You can't be just, you can't just say, hey, I'm a software developer or I'm a banker, or I'm, you know, you need all these things.

I'm pretty sure you, the listener, you do have all these skills. But the question is, are you integrating these skills in your daily life, even in your cooking, even your, you know, whatever it is? So let's come back to this. So because I'm on autopilot mode for creating new content and publishing, instead of repurposing, but a lot of others, I tell you, they recommend repurposing your content.

Okay, what has changed today? I want to mindfully do two things differently. Mindfully do two things differently. Number one, become aware of my thoughts and feelings associated with not wanting to create new content and try something new.

Number two, write a roundup story learned from Linda Lough, Linda Lough, through her story titled, How to Write a Round Up Story Using Your Medium Backlist. Linda Lough, the following quote from her article, here is the quote, once you have posted lots of stories on medium, it's hard for your readers to find all the hidden gems. You wrote in the past. So this is the quote that actually changed my self-talk from boring, uninspired, and I don't want to repurpose the content.

I want to create new content all the time. You know, it's very similar to your, this is a good online world, guys, publishing. Think about your regular, your offline, you know, day to day to day. Oh, I want to buy something new.

Oh, I want to make something new. Oh, I want to get out and cover some new places, you know. So think about repurposing in your physical life also, offline physical life also. So when she wrote this, you know, what did she write?

Once you have posted lots of stories on medium, it's hard for your readers to find all the hidden gems you wrote in the past. So this changed my self-talk from boring, uninspired, and repurposing to new self-talk. Let's pick two gem stories. Let's pick two gem stories, create a new jewelry, and share it.

How about that? So this is all writing, right? Your story or your article, whatever you call it. So now I'm, when I told this sentence, let's see what's happening now.

Let's pick. I'm taking you also with my world. So let's pick two gem stories, create a new jewelry, and share it. Wow.

As soon as I became mindful and wrote my intention, magic is happening. I'm now more inspired to open my back office or back list of 186 stories published. Guys, today it's about, I think, more than 270 stories I think. Okay.

So this article I wrote way back in October 2022, and we are now in July 2023. And right now it's around 200. I'm not going back to my recording. It's around 270 articles as against 186 at that time it was published when they wrote the story.

So again, I'm now more inspired to open my back list of 186 published stories and try a round-up story, as Linda mentioned. By the way, this article is also driven by one of the commitments I made in the following article. Please check it out. A gap in writing, self-discipline.

Please check that podcast episode or article. How did I come up with today's round-up story? After opening the medium back office or back list stories, I have used within record, I've used the word back office also in some of my articles. Okay.

So after going to that, I searched for the term Lalita, inverted commas open, Lalita plus commitment. This is the search I put. So the search terms that I put, Lalita plus commitment. Okay.

A list of my published stories and my responses to other writers stories that have the word commitment popped up. I became curious to learn how the word commitment has helped me evolve as a writer in general. Comma, writing for different publishers and creating new habits. Viola, in March 2022, I wrote a commitment statement in the following article to write 11 short form stories.

Out of several choices, here are two of them. I choose and commit to stop beating myself up. When I don't complete the number mentioned within the time I set for myself. I choose and commit to consciously start noticing how I'm building myself up, stop beating, build.

So I'm building myself up instead of beating myself up. So the article in which I wrote these two commitments are, I mean, the title of the article is my suggestion about starting anything is to choose and commit to yourself first. I realize that being very specific about my thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and duration in my commitment statement has helped me keep up the commitment. In April 2022, I wrote the following 11th short form article titled, If you truly want to be happy, commit to yourself, get clear and create.

Remember, commit to yourself. First thing is commit to yourself, not the whole world to yourself. Automatically, the rest will be taken care. In this article, I have answered the following two questions in depth.

One question, number one, how did I do in terms of beating myself up? Second one, how did I consciously build myself up by writing on topics like self awareness, exercising, coaching, and becoming a better version of ourselves. I invite you to read as you too may benefit if you find yourself unnecessarily beating yourself or afraid to commit. You may also follow my tips to build yourself up.

In case you do get beaten, shout out to Amy Parker for the informative and interesting information in the article titled, Top 13 Artificial Intelligence Applications in 2023. Thank you, my lovely readers for helping me move out of my autopilot more and mindfully create this round of article. Thank you Linda a lot. And at the end, please subscribe to my stories by email for the best chance to catch my original works.
