This is What Performative Activism Gets Us

from Pretty Thoughts · host Yasmine Adams

I think the title of this episode speaks for itself. Rest in peace Breonna; you deserved more, and we failed you. Breonna, you were worth more, you deserved more, you needed more, and we failed you. This is what performative activism gets us, nothing. Breonna never had a chance, but that doesn’t make it hurt less. I am not safe here, Breonna was not safe here, black women are not safe here. My heart aches; I’m so sorry we failed you. #BlackLivesMatter #SayHerName Follow Pretty Thoughts: https://www.instagram.com/prettythoughtspc/ & https://twitter.com/prettythoughts Follow Me: https://www.instagram.com/y.asmiiine_/ & https://twitter.com/yasmiiine__
