This Week in Horror History | Classic Horror Films & Eerie Sequels — May 18–24

The Shining opens the doors of the Overlook Hotel, while Alien 3 strands Ripley on a prison colony. This Week in Horror History explores May 18–24 through Stanley Kubrick's Stephen King adaptation, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, and Poltergeist II: The Other Side. Tales from the Hood brings supernatural punishment and social horror to the deep-cut spotlight, and The Possession of Joel Delaney offers a next watch. With Vincent Price's revenge and Reverend Kane's unwelcome return, this week's films ask what happens when the nightmare follows you into the place you hoped would save you.
