This Week in Horror History | Cosmic Nightmares & Gothic Sequels June 15–21

Psycho, Jaws 2, and Lifeforce lead This Week in Horror History for June 15–21, 2026. Revisit the Bates Motel, Amity Island's return to shark panic, Batman Returns' gothic Gotham, and World War Z's rushing zombie crowds. Tobe Hooper's space-vampire spectacle takes the deep-cut spotlight with Halley's Comet and a London outbreak. Birthdays and Hammer's Dracula, starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing, round out the calendar. From a motel nightmare to a city under siege, explore how horror grew into a summer event while keeping room for strange cult films and candlelit vampire dread.
