This Week in Horror History | Cult Classics & Body Horror Nightmares — June 22–28

The Thing, 28 Days Later, and The Omen bring mistrust to This Week in Horror History for June 22–28, 2026. A haunted hotel room in 1408 and Quake's gothic corridors join empty London streets and an Antichrist hidden behind privilege. John Carpenter's The Thing takes the spotlight with Antarctic isolation, imitation, and Rob Bottin's effects. Horror birthdays and a Twilight Zone: The Movie recommendation complete a week where safety is difficult to recognize. Revisit the films and game that turn a room, a family, or a trusted companion into something you can no longer take at face value.
