Gif's, which are basically an image file format that is animated by combining several other images or frames into a single file have become a hot commodity in the age of Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Richard and his team created Gfycat (pronounced “jiffy-cat”) in order to upgrade the GIF viewing experience to the 21st century. Gif's are a great way to spread ideas and share moments as they amplify culture trends and brands are starting to use them for messaging. Gfycat and Richard are building a business around the ormat as a hot media property.
