Thomas the Apostle: From Doubt to Devotion
from Profile In Faith Hosted by David Curry
In this episode of Profile in Faith, David Curry explores the journey of Thomas—often remembered as “Doubting Thomas”—but whose legacy runs far deeper than a single moment of hesitation. Thomas was honest, loyal, and brave enough to ask the hard questions. When others stayed silent, he spoke up. And when Jesus answered, Thomas didn’t just believe—he worshiped, declaring, “My Lord and my God.” Tradition holds that Thomas carried the gospel as far as India, where he preached, healed, and ultimately gave his life for Christ. His story is a powerful reminder that doubt isn’t the end of faith—it can be the beginning of something even stronger.
