Those statewide tests and La Crosse student outcomes with superintendent Engel

Covered a lot with School District of La Crosse superintendent, Dr. Aaron Engel, including statewide proficiency tests and how students are doing, plus a timeline on tearing down the Hogan building and getting public input on renovating State Road Elementary.  We also discussed last week's visit to La Crosse from Dr. Jill Underly, the Wisconsin State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and just exactly what that job entails. Plus the Wisconsin Supreme Court race and the outlook Engel has from the district's perspective.  An open house at State Road Elementary happens from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, as that building is getting ready for eight new classrooms and a new gymnasium — per the fall $53.5 million referendum.
