Thoughts on The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 2: Verse 70 - Verse 72)

from The Bearded Mystic Podcast · host Rahul N Singh

In this episode, The Bearded Mystic Podcast discusses the 2nd chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, specifically verses 70 - 72. Shri Krishna guides that person is full of peace, who is not overwhelmed by the material desires and can watch all these desires appear and disappear. The unrestrained ones run towards sense desires and the current of these desires are endless and limitless until one has the knowledge of Brahman, their true self. The Sage only functions to maintain the body and yet, has no attachment to the body and therefore, is always at peace. Whatever is received, is not considered as one’s own but just needed for a particular function. The Knower of Brahman remains Brahman now and forever. This wonderfully sums up exactly what Chapter 2 is all about. Translation used: The Bhagavad Gita Comes Alive: A Radical Translation by Jeffrey Armstrong Available here on AmazonIf you would like to dwell deeper in the Bhagavad Gita, I recommend Swami Gambhirananda's translation with Adi Shankara ji's commentary: Available here on AmazonI hope you enjoyed listening to the 19th episode of the Thoughts on The Bhagavad Gita and if you are interested in listening to more episodes like this on further chapters and verses, or on Non-Duality, or you want to learn more about the wisdom of the Mystics please follow/subscribe to this Podcast. Please rate and write a review for this Podcast, it will be greatly appreciated.New episodes will be available every Sunday. If you would like to attend a free weekly meditation with me, join my Whatsapp group:https://chat.whatsapp.com/DcdnuDMeRnW53E0seVp28bSubscribe to the free monthly The Bearded Mystic Newsletter: http://thebeardedmysticpodcast.substack.comYou can find links to Live Streams, Podcast, Videos etc: https://linktr.ee/thebeardedmysticpodcastYou can follow me and contact me on social media:TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMdk3HPJh/Discord: https://discord.com/invite/ZphafV5VddInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebeardedmysticpodcast/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBeardedMysticPodcast/Twitter: https://twitter.com/bearded_mysticFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/The-Bearded-Mystic-PodcastSend us Fan MailSupport the showSupport me via Paypal: https://www.paypal.biz/beardedmysticJoin our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/hnRf7wESwXVisit my website: https://www.thebeardedmysticpodcast.com/Want a one-on-one spiritual discussion with The Bearded Mystic - book here: https://www.thebeardedmysticpodcast.com/p/spiritual-discussion/You can follow me and contact me on social media:TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMdk3HPJh/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebeardedmysticpodcast/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBeardedMysticPodcast/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/The-Bearded-Mystic-PodcastBluesky:  https://bsky.app/profile/beardedmystic.bsky.socialBecome a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/thebeardedmysticpodcast
