Thoughts on The Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 3: Verse 6 - Verse 9)

from The Bearded Mystic Podcast · host Rahul N Singh

Send us Fan MailIn this episode, The Bearded Mystic Podcast discusses the 3rd chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, specifically verses 6 - 9. Krishna’s attempt in this verse is getting us ready to understand the important of restrain even as a householder. If we are still remembering past pleasures, we automatically will go for future experiences. Krishna guides that to control the senses, one needs to not have any attachment and must learn to observe and discern with the knowledge of Brahman. That person is a great karma yogi. Be honest with your life and act accordingly. Do your duties, look after your family. Earn a livelihood with honesty and integrity. Nobody can live a life without action. Sri Krishna would like us to offer every action to the Supreme. To Brahman. Translation used: The Bhagavad Gita Comes Alive: A Radical Translation by Jeffrey Armstrong Available here on AmazonIf you would like to dwell deeper in the Bhagavad Gita, I recommend Swami Gambhirananda's translation with Adi Shankara ji's commentary: Available here on AmazonI hope you enjoyed listening to the 21st episode of the Thoughts on The Bhagavad Gita and if you are interested in listening to more episodes like this on further chapters and verses, or on Non-Duality, or you want to learn more about the wisdom of the Mystics please follow/subscribe to this Podcast. Please rate and write a review for this Podcast, it will be greatly appreciated.New episodes will be available every Sunday. If you would like to attend a free weekly meditation with me, join my Whatsapp group:https://chat.whatsapp.com/DcdnuDMeRnW53E0seVp28bSubscribe to the free monthly The Bearded Mystic Newsletter: http://thebeardedmysticpodcast.substack.comYou can find links to Live Streams, Podcast, Videos etc: https://linktr.ee/thebeardedmysticpodcastYou can follow me and contact me on social media:TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMdk3HPJh/Discord: https://discord.com/invite/ZphafV5VddInstagram: Support the showSupport me via Paypal: https://www.paypal.biz/beardedmysticJoin our Discord Server: https://discord.gg/hnRf7wESwXVisit my website: https://www.thebeardedmysticpodcast.com/Want a one-on-one spiritual discussion with The Bearded Mystic - book here: https://www.thebeardedmysticpodcast.com/p/spiritual-discussion/You can follow me and contact me on social media:TikTok: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZMdk3HPJh/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebeardedmysticpodcast/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheBeardedMysticPodcast/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/The-Bearded-Mystic-PodcastBluesky:  https://bsky.app/profile/beardedmystic.bsky.socialBecome a Patron: https://www.patreon.com/thebeardedmysticpodcast
