Aired May 11, 2025: Lisa Foxx talks to the Co-Founder and Producer of Tour de Pier Lisa Manheim about the energy at this event that fuels lifesaving treatments. Tour de Pier is a unique cancer fundraiser that brings indoor stationary cycling to the gorgeous outdoors. Hundreds of spin bikes ride in place with an ocean view overlooking the Manhattan Beach Pier. The South Bay's best instructors, entertainers, and celebrity guests lead a morning of 5 one-hour spin sessions loaded with energy, excitement, and emotion! Since it began in 2013, the Tour De Pier has raised nearly $14.5 million, which divides all proceeds to go to nonprofits like the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, the Cancer Support Community South Bay and the Uncle Kory Foundation for brain cancer.In addition to cycling, there will be a FREE Health & Fitness Expo featuring a wide variety of Southern California vendors. Kids can enjoy the Cardio Kids Zone with tot-sized stationary bikes, games, moon bounces and more. A complimentary bike valet service will be available to provide a convenient and secure way for guests to park their bicycles, ensuring a hassle-free experience. Each year, the fitness fundraiser draws 10,000 participants and attendees. Since debuting in 2013, the Tour de Pier has raised more than $13 million for cancer charities.
