Threading a New World with Shannon Sims
from Slowburn Hosted by Mis
Every fantasy world starts with a single question: What if? In this episode, Mis sits down with debut fantasy author Shannon Sims to explore the journey behind Threadbound and the world she's spent years bringing to life. Together, they dive into the art of world-building, creating unforgettable characters, and balancing fate, free will, and moral complexity in fantasy. Shannon also shares what it's really like to publish as an indie author, why staying true to your creative vision matters more than chasing trends, and how a supportive community can make all the difference. Whether you're a fantasy reader, an aspiring writer, or simply love hearing the stories behind the stories, this conversation is filled with insight, laughter, and a reminder that the best worlds are built with patience, passion, and authenticity. https://shannonsimswrites.com/ https://www.instagram.com/shannonsimswrites
