SAfm — The Thelle Mogoerane hospital in Vosloorus on Gauteng's east rand says three babies who had contracted klebsiella have been discharged while four others are still being treated. Five babies died between July and August this year following an outbreak. The DA claimed yesterday that the department had reported that only two babies died during the said period. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to the hospital's Acting CEO Dr. Jatin Martin Canda who says they are doing all they can to stop the spread of the bacteria which often leads to other illnesses.
