Three Cs of Life (and Leadership)

from OneSharpSword · host Dr. Wayne Pernell, CEO and Founder, DynamicLeader, Inc.

This is pretty simple to think about but it’s a whole lot harder to practice consistently. When I work with my elite 1:1 VIP clients, we focus on Values to begin with. Not only what you value now, but what you might need to aim towards to become who you wish to become. Think about someone you admire. Do they have traits that you don’t yet express? Practice those. Decide that you want to live into values that you don’t yet have. Get clear. Clarity is the 1st C While commitment is a “thing,” it’s not officially the second C. You do need to commit to practicing and expressing the values you now wish to live into. In fact, it’s the expression of those new values that creates the second C. That’s Communication. It’s one thing to have values. It’s another for people around you to know what you stand for - at home, at work, and in the world. And the third C is Curiosity. Staying curious and in wonder keeps you out of judgment, right-fighting, and drama. Stay curious. And step into Compassion.  (Maybe I should call this the 5-C list!) Rock your holidays and step into the New Year strong!
