Three Miles Past Nightfall

This single was somewhat inspired by the Bullring shopping area of Birmingham UK around dusk, when that part of the city sits in a slight fugue, done with the day's hustle and bustle but not quite ready to fully embrace the nightlife. In a few parts of the city, you get to see a mishmash of slick, ultra-modern architecture and much older, clunkier, and more weathered examples from bygone eras. In the right light, this can give a watchful observer a glimpse into a cyberpunk world in the style of Blade Runner and Deus Ex.
