Three-person’d God – Morning Prayer celebrating John Donne

It’s The Fifth Friday in Lent in the Church Calendar. We are celebrating the life of John Donne, Priest, 1631. March 31, 2023. This week we are following the Daily Office lectionary with an episode Monday through Friday. Praying today for Jess in Pennsylvania, USA. Our general order and lectionary comes from the Book of Common Prayer Daily Office. We’ll sing “He Loves Us” by John Mark McMillan. We’ll read Psalm 16:5-11 followed by the Gloria Patri. We’ll read John Donne’s Holy Sonnet “Batter my heart, three-person'd God”. We’ll say the Apostles’ Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Collect of the Day. We’ll then have a time of prompted prayer.
