Love Is Love is And I am. A feeling A commitment The border between honesty And fantasy. Hands linked on a porch Tears in a funeral Sex in the park. Love is And I am. Roe May 2019 Nobody Cries Alone When someone cries The grief floats into our common ether Our hearts sync up As we inhale Allowing their id to permeate our beings Filling us with the empty of our brother Making holes in our skin Where Our humanity seeps from us Leaving us barren and impotent Mere Rocks in the desert. Roe July 2019 Santa Fe Texas 10 lay dead It’s the same old story But it’s not Shotgun and 38 Sins from the father, guns unlocked Bombs a la carte Two policemen on staff Good guys with guns, still 10 dead A disconnected young male A black trench coat A barrier not crossed Between them and him. A lone white male His dark side bubbling up The new forgotten As hate brewed Until the Them became Us Roe 19 May 2018
