Thrive 2021: Providence

Proverbs 11:28 Those who trust in their riches will fall,    but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.  Romans 8:2828 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[i] have been called according to his purpose. Genesis 50:19-20 19 But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. We are called to THRIVE How can we thrive? 1. Activate faith as we seek the presence of Christ 2. Depend on the power of Christ 3. Obey the principles of Christ 4. Enjoy the providence of Christ  Providence DefinedLiteral Meaning : "To see forward" “pro” (Latin: “forward,” “on behalf of”) “vide” (Latin: “to see”)  Providence: God's act of overseeing by providing for or sustaining and governing the universe God’s works of providence are his most holy, wise and powerful preserving and governing all his creatures, and all their actions (Westminster Catechism).  1.     He upholds all things.2.     He governs all events.3.     He directs everything to its appointed end.4.     He does this all the time and in every circumstance.5.     He does it always for his own glory. What does God’s providence teach us? 1. God cares about the tiniest details of life. 2.
