CONNECT WITH NIKI CICAK: Founder & Owner of Day Lily Salon & Author of 'Thriving In Salon Ownership'. Niki Cicak is a local entrepreneur and social impact advocate in Colorado Springs. Niki opened Day Lily Salon and Spa with her mother in 2011, is the founder of the Mac Cicak Memorial Foundation and Coordinator of the Fire Foundation of Colorado Springs. Through their work at Day Lily Salon and Spa, Niki and her mother have worked tirelessly to create a business that not only empowered the women they serve but the women who work with them as well. Niki and her mother have also created a collaborative environment and the highest quality of services. Niki has facilitated multiple collaborative projects with other agencies and businesses in her community and has championed the efforts of supporting our local first responders through her “Heroes.Haircuts.Honor.” program and her “Vests For Heroes” efforts. She has also begun authoring a book on Salon Ownership and hopes to have launched a speaking circuit and additional training course. Niki holds an MA in Philanthropy and Development. She has spearheaded start-up fund development programs for 3 separate nonprofits in all the areas of fundraising including Special Events, Annual Fund Giving, Major Gifts Programs, and Planned Giving. Throughout her career, she has worked to build collaborative relationships across multiple agencies for a variety of causes and has consulted for countless other agencies and events. In addition, she ran a 3-year fundraising event that was one of the most successful fundraisers for one of our local nonprofits. Helping to facilitate collaborative, meaningful relationships and bringing our community closer together is her greatest goal.
