Through the Fire #132 - A Jewish Girl Who Came to Know the Messiah, Carol Holesak

from Through the Fire · host Ryan

Carol Holesak was raised in a traditional Jewish family in Brooklyn, New York, and she loved observing the Jewish holidays.Carol's life changed during the Christmas season of 1978 when she was 31 years old. At that time, she was living with her  boyfriend Louis and her 8-year-old son, Erik, in Boca Raton, Florida. Carol was working as a hairdresser at JC Penney Hair Salon, and she regularly used marijuana. Looking back, Carol realized she was not emotionally stable due to many traumatic experiences in her younger years. That Christmas, she received a gift from a client—a Bible. Instead of a Starbucks card or a pretty scarf, Carol got this unexpected present. The client not only gave her the Bible but also encouraged her to read the Book of John. Carol's first thought was that she would toss it in the trash as soon as she left. However, God had other plans, and Carol found herself reading the Book of John. In John 14:6, Jesus told Thomas, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." She didn’t understand why these words resonated with her so profoundly; looking back, she can see it was the Holy Spirit at work.As a result of her reading and reflection, Carol's life choices began to change in accordance with God's Word. Louis and Carol married, committed to reading the Bible regularly, gave up marijuana, and chose to live a life more pleasing to the Lord. Through these godly choices and the leading of the Holy Spirit, Carol experienced the healing power of God's love. She felt the faithfulness of God supporting her in overcoming negative thoughts and behaviors.Sge embraced God's promises found in Scripture, such as in John 16:33, where Jesus says, "These things I have spoken to you, that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."He used the hardships of her life to help others in ways only He can. For over 30 years, Carol has had the privilege of encouraging and ministering to women facing various life challenges. After years of encouragement from others to share her story, Carol finally wrote her book, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus: The Life Journey of a Jewish Girl Who Came to Know Jesus the Messiah."Get a copy of Carol's book: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DMHV24PR/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_apa_gl_i_RA4NBQXCMJADJ7YTNKHT?linkCode=ml1&tag=beneciaponder-20Contact Carol Holesak: Website: https://www.frommyheart2yours.org/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/carol.holesakInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/lovejoyhope3/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@CarolHolesak-v7fContact us: Facebook @Ryan Wickline or @Through the Fire. Instagram @wickline_ryan.TicTok @throughthef1re.YouTube @ThroughtheFire.Email: [email protected] Coaching Consultation call available now...Message me!!"It always seems impossible until it's done!!"
