Original Show Description: This week Out Da Box Radio is happy to bring you a very special interview with Grammy Award Winning music producer “Symbolyc One” better known as “S1”. Close fans may be familiar with him as a prominent member of the texas based hip hop group “The Strange Fruit Project” but in recent years his solo career has developed enormously and he’s gained greater recognition as a music producer. Recently we got a chance to speak with S1 on a number of topics including his start with the Strange Fruit Project and his work with Erykah Badu as a fellow artist and member of the production collective The Cannabinoids. We also talked about his music relationship with “Kanye West” and how he came to produce the highly acclaimed lead single Power as well as Beyonce’s hit song Best Thing I Never Had. Among other things “S1” took the time to speak in-depth about his growth as a producer and how he’s been able to continue on the successful journey.
