Throwback WWE Royal Rumble 1991

In this episode, we take a hard, unflinching look back at one of the more disappointing entries in WWF history – Royal Rumble 1991. While some fans may cling to nostalgia, we're here to call it like we see it: this one did not hold up. From weak storytelling and flat matches to questionable booking decisions, we break down why this Rumble left us cold. We dive into the bizarre and awkward Sgt. Slaughter vs. Ultimate Warrior title match – a tone-deaf angle made worse in hindsight – and explore how the Rumble match itself felt more like filler than the thrilling free-for-all it's supposed to be. Was Hulk Hogan's win predictable? Yes. Was it exciting? Not even close. And don’t get us started on the production values and pacing… If you love wrestling history but aren’t afraid to call out the misfires, this episode is for you. Come for the commentary, stay for the chaos – and maybe bring a stiff drink. You’ll need it.
