Thunderbirds to perform at Chicago Air and Water Show second year in a row

​The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be flying high across Chicago's lakefront on August 15th and 16th. ​The U.S. Navy Blue Angels usually alternate years with the Thunderbirds at the Air and Water Show, but will not this year due to a scheduling issue. During the Thunderbirds' practice session last year, some Chicago lakefront residents described hearing sonic booms, but the Air Force denied that any jet went supersonic.
