Thunderbolts*

In this episode of The Moviegoers Society, Sean Tajipour, the Mayor of Nerdtropolis, and Drew Munhausen, the Professional Media and Movie Mastermind, break down Marvel’s Thunderbolts and why it might be one of the boldest moves the MCU has made in years. Sean and Drew dive into the film’s chaotic antihero energy, its mix of humor and emotional depth, and how the team dynamic brings something fresh to the Marvel formula. They spotlight Florence Pugh’s standout performance as Yelena Belova, David Harbour’s scene-stealing Red Guardian, and Bucky Barnes finally getting his moment to shine. They also unpack the film’s biggest moments, including the intense Sentry showdown, the surprisingly powerful mental health themes, and what that asterisk in the title really means. Plus, they discuss both post-credit scenes and how Thunderbolts sets up the future of the MCU in a major way. The conversation also includes where Thunderbolts ranks among the best MCU team-up films so far and why Lewis Pullman and Wyatt Russell might be the movie’s most underrated MVPs. 📽 Follow us on Letterboxd: https://letterboxd.com/dmunhausen/ https://letterboxd.com/nerdtropolis/ 📲 Stay connected: https://www.Facebook.com/nerdtropolis https://www.Instagram.com/nerdtropolis https://www.Twitter.com/nerdtropolis https://www.tiktok.com/@nerdtropolis
