TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The passover marked literally the end of the stay of the Israelites in Egypt and the beginning of their Exodus out of Egypt. It marked the beginning of the holistic liberation of the Israelites from Egypt; the land of slavery, poverty, hard labour, oppression, afflictions and alienation from God. It marked the beginning of their restoration. God saves His people with His mighty arm. At the passover meal, Jesus Christ established the new and eternal covenant in His own blood to save and restore humanity; ending pur slavery to sin, the reign of evil, darkness, afflictions and misfortune. Haven made us adopted children of God, He sends us out today to carry on with this mandate of redeeming and restoring our fellow human beings. Get ready! Your salvation, redemption and restoration are at hand.
