TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Saint Augustine asserts that "the soul of man is restless until it rests in God". This dictum played out so strongly in the life of Mary Magdalene that even in death she sought to remain in the company of Jesus. What is the nature of your relationship with Jesus Christ? Do you still long for and work to have his company even when he is in the grave (when all hope is gone? When he's silent about your needs? When he appears defeated? When he seems to have failed you? etc). May you never loose the company of Jesus Christ for a moment even in the most perilous moments of your life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
