THE HEART OF TODAY'S HOMILY. The Psalmist asks in Psalm 85:6 "Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?" The Israelites have sinned against God and now God appears to have abandoned them, hence this question. Like the Israelites and the brothers of Joseph we too, haven gone astray in sin, often wonder; when will God show us his face, his mercy, his favor, his blessings etc again.
