Thur. June 17th,2021 Sermon by FadaPeterBenson: GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD.

SUMMARY OF TODAY'S SERMON. Is your devotion to God still pure, sincere and genuine? Did you realise that your value as a human person is not a condition of what you have but whom you have in you? Do you truly have God in you as the epicentre of your being and existence? Did you realise your value in life is intrinsic; given by God and totally dependent on the extent to which he is present in your life? Did you know that this Gospel of "let's make the money/wealth first and we come use it to serve God, care for our family, etc" is not of God but of the false teachers? Did you know no one can secure his /her future outside of God no matter how much he/she tries? Have you realised that the quest to secure one's future has led many away from God and entrapped them in a sorry state? Did you realise that such a quest outside of God ends only in futility? Did you know that you can still find God, become true, sincere and pure in your devotion to him, allow his presence give true value to your existence and secure your future? All we need to get there is simply to ask him each day "GIVE US OUR DAILY BREAD". As you do a total self dedication to God today and consciously resolve to be contented in his care and love for you henceforth may you find the inner peace, tranquility, self worth and assurance that come only from God. May God prove himself worthy of your trust in him. May he satisfy your quests and provide your needs and above all secure your future in himself so that the cares of this world and the challenges of this life will not lead you away from him.
