TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. The Psalmist says in Psalm 60:11 "give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." Indeed, when the help of man fails us, we tend to get into desperation, frustration, depression and despair, especially when we choose to trust in the help of human beings and human institutions. These indeed may and will often fail us. Nevertheless, amidst all our troubles and challenges, we must never lose heart for our help comes from the Lord God who made heaven and earth. His help never fails.
