My Tuesday guest, Sen. Elana Parent (D) took to the floor today to quibble with Governor Brian Kemp's latest call for tax cuts & another rebate coupled with the $16 billion surplus the state's sitting on. It was a bit too "fresh" in her mind the hearings she'd sat in listening to department heads reporting back with shortcomings due to tightened budgets and ... well, you hear for yourself the points she makes. Reverend Sen. Raphael Warnock took to the Senate floor in DC yesterday on the anniversary of his re-election win. The point he had to make, however, had more to do with the nation crossing the "630 mass shootings" threshold in 2023, even before the latest, on the UNLV campus. My guest today was Matt Stigall, member of the Cobb County Transit Authority board and founder of the Terminus Legion (Atlanta United supporter group). We talk transit. A LOT. He opined a bit more pessemistic on the heels of a recent Cobb poll on "transit," mostly because it seems the definition of "transit" is curious.
