Let's begin today's show. The Daily with Sil Stein through anchor, finishing up on the Writer's Devotional by author Amy Peters, and announcing the new book we will be doing for The Daily with Sil Stein. Hello and welcome to the show. Welcome to, I appreciate you all being here on The Daily with Sil Stein.

Happy Thursday. For today, I know I said in the last show that it was the ending of the Writer's Devotional by author Amy Peters and announcing the new book we will be doing for The Daily with Sil Stein. Hello and welcome to the show. Welcome to, I appreciate you all being here on The Daily with Sil Stein.

Happy Thursday. For today, I know I said in the last show that it was the ending of the Writer's Devotional and it had been a bit since I'd done a show, but I wanted to just go back and talk a little bit about it, not to go into any exercises because we have covered it quite a bit, not that there's anything wrong with it, but I wanted to just kind of share insight. Like from Monday and the weeks we covered, The Writer's Devotional has, like I said, Writers on Writing, Tuesday Motivation, Wednesday Writing Class, Thursday Editing, Friday Biography, Saturday Books to Read, and Sunday Writing Prompt. And I tried to cover these.

Unfortunately, I didn't have anyone call in to share their own prompts and their own ideas. I hope that you'll get encouraged to do so, even if you do it at a later time, that's fine. Not everyone feels comfortable with sharing all of their writing prompts or stuff like that, but I do encourage you to get this book if you don't have it already. They do, I believe, have it in digital copy, but I have the hard book copy, The Writer's Devotional, 365 inspirational exercises, ideas, tips, and motivations on writing by author Amy Peters.

So I hope, I want to encourage you to get it so you can check out the different writing prompts. And it's great because it's divided into different weeks and each day of the week focuses, as it says in the back, on a different aspect of the writing life, from the business of writing to the nuts and bolts of editing to tips and tricks for getting past writer's block. So you might want to read an entry at the start of the workday and then it helps you. Like I said, whether you're writing fiction or nonfiction, composing screenplays or poetry, or simply trying to keep a more compelling journal, it says, or blog, or you can hone in on your skills, which is the basic essential part of this book.

And then she says in her acknowledgement, in her introduction, she says, welcome to the writer's devotional. And she says inside this chunky volume, you'll find everything you need to get your creative juices flowing, whether you're honing your skills for writing fiction or nonfiction, screenplays or poetry, or simply trying to keep a more compelling journal or blog. Writing is a solitary activity, but you don't have to feel that you are completely on your own. That's a few of what Amy Peters says.

And I'm really blessed that I got to do and use this book for The Daily with Silstein. And I know I haven't done a lot of shows and I apologize for the background noise. I do have children that are home. And as much as I try to keep the noise out, I do apologize that you can still hear it if you do.

But I wanted to do the next segment. This is a short segment of The Daily with Silstein, but I'm going to begin on the new book that we'll be covering for tomorrow's show on The Daily with Silstein. And we'll be right back with part two. This has been The Daily with Silstein using The Writer's Devotional by Amy Peters, part one.

We'll be right back with part two. And now we move on to part two of The Daily with Silstein. Welcome to part two of The Daily with Silstein here on anchor. And here we go with The Daily with Silstein.

Here's part two of The Daily with Silstein here on anchor. And welcome to The Daily with Silstein on anchor. This is part two of The Daily with Silstein. And now we're going to start off by discussing the new book by, we're going to do the new book by Stephen King.

This is the book that he has, Stephen King on Writing, A Memoir of the Craft. And we're going to discuss a little bit about that book and talk about that. So here we go. Now moving on to our newest book, Stephen King on Writing.

We're going to discuss the intro of what we will be sharing tomorrow. Okay, now, Stephen King on Writing, A Memoir of the Craft. Long live the king. This is what it says.

Hailed Entertainment Weekly upon publication of Stephen King's On Writing, Part memoir, part masterclass by one of the best-selling authors of all time. This superb volume is a revealing and practical view of the writer's craft, compromising the basic tools of the trade every writer must have. King's advice is grounded in his vivid memories from childhood through his emergence as a writer, from his struggling early career to his widely reported near-fatal accident in 1999, and how the inextricable link between writing and living spurred his recovery. Brilliantly structured, friendly, and inspiring.

On Writing will empower and entertain everyone who reads it. Fans, writers, and anyone who loves a great story well told. And it wouldn't be Stephen King if he didn't do that. He's a master, as we know, but he wrote this amazing book on writing, and it is amazing.

And I thought I would share it with you guys. He is, like, you know, as we said, is the author of more than 50 books, all of them worldwide bestsellers, as you know. He is one of the, a great, a great, great author in his own right. And he is, of course, he's one of the, he knows how to write horror, and he just does it so brilliantly, everything he does.

And I can't wait to discuss Stephen King on Writing, A Memoir of the Craft. We're going to focus on a lot of this book, and I will begin on this book tomorrow. And I just wanted to give you that update that we have finished for now on The Writer's Devotional by author Amy Peters. We're moving on to Stephen King on Writing, A Memoir of the Craft.

And I'll be so happy to share with that with you guys tomorrow. I hope you'll join us, and thank you again for being here on The Daily. There's not really much of a wrap-up other than those were my announcements. It's a short show today, but we'll begin on Stephen King on Writing tomorrow.

And I hope you'll join us here on anchor for The Daily with Sil Stein. Y'all have a great one. This has been The Daily with Sil Stein on anchor. Tomorrow we begin Stephen King on Writing, A Memoir of the Craft.
