The bills include expanding the Don't Say Gay law, banning transition-related care for minors, prohibiting trans people from using public facilities aligned with their gender identities, and restricting "adult" performances in front of minors. However, Democrats are calling for an investigation into DeSantis's use of Florida's law enforcement agency. In North Carolina, the state legislature overrode Governor Roy Cooper's veto of a 12-week abortion ban. Donald Trump claimed responsibility for "killing Roe v. Wade."
