Her mother went into remission. She received a BS in psychology, and a master's in management, and she became the first in her family to make a six-figure-a-year income working for the federal government. In 2012, after moving several cities and finding herself in Washington, DC, she booked a two-week vacation alone to Greece. That vacation changed her life forever. She quit her job and moved to Greece. She filed for bankruptcy and opened a travel agency, eventually making six figures again; She published a children's book upon moving back to the states.
