I'm Jeff Kanat. I'm the DM for the Demone Dragons newest show, Tiedfall, and I just want to, you know, we're starting this new theme-punk show and we're just gonna let everyone introduce themselves and go around the table real quick. So, oh hi everybody. This is Chris Tetord, but we'll be referring to myself as Ted as we go on.

Just gonna continue here. Yeah, anything specific you're looking forward to? I think for now we're not talking about characters more. Just introduce yourself who you are, what do you do?

All about that stuff. Yeah, I'm an improviser in the end of the Moyne area. Come check out Hit and Bomb. You know, I'll go get the plugs later, but if you're listening, you probably have a free hand.

Go ahead and Google Hit and Bomb or search for them on Facebook. Check them out. Cool. Thanks.

Yeah, so I'm Monica Demello-Dresher. Yeah, super excited to be playing. I don't have any specific plugs either, but yeah. I work in non-profits in the Moyne area and yeah, I don't have anything creative going on right now, so I'm, I have a selling room.

So, yeah, if anyone wants to hear about like historically accurate Victorian stitch length per fiber count, let me know. I think I'm definitely gonna come up in the notes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I've been working with a lot of Linen recently, some historically accurate fiber counts.

So, yeah, that's, that's what I've been working on, which is super not helpful, endery, but there you go. All right, I'm Chris Williams and I appreciate Chris Tedford's sacrifice to be called Ted instead. His foresight will help the confusion, but you, some of you might also know me as the soundbard, but this time I'm not providing sound effects. I'm here to play.

As far as creating creative endeavors go, right now I am designing for Iowa State's Theaters, Dollhouse, Part 1 and 2. And then after that- That's a great show. It is. It is.

It is. But after that, I will be lighting designing for East High School's sister act. And that's later on in November. And then I will make my directing debut next spring directing your riddance.

Nice. That's a great show. Is it the Sarah Rule? Yes.

That's a great show. Yes. So I keep. So I'm keeping a little bit busy.

Oh, yeah, this is cool. I guess just to sort of let everyone, you know, get to know what we got to do lately, you know, just, you know, not necessarily creatively or professionally, but you know, what you like them like? I like to, today, I guess this last week has been, it's been P time. I've been potty training my son.

So that's been a mess. Fully encompassing in this. Pretty much like my whole day is like, I get home from work. The boy comes home and then it's watching him, following him and just keeping an eye on his bathroom text.

You know, like, I'm so suddenly so excited about my adult dogs. Like, they don't do any of that. Like, it's great. Human children are like in the scheme of like nature are just fucking useless.

Dogs can walk like when they're bored and they can potty and all that good stuff. And children, human children are just. Sax of flesh that scream at you. Cannot be themselves.

I really hope in like 10 years you show the child. Absolutely. Well, he'll be an adult and not a child anymore. He won't be so free easily.

Love you, kid. Oh, I'm this later. You can understand it. So I've read I've rediscovered the Sims, which is like, it's a terrible suck, like time, suck waste of time.

But like, I rediscovered, like I just pulled it up. I was cleaning up my computer and I'm like, oh, I have all of the Sims for like, game packs. Like, how did this happen? That's been a problem.

Because then I remembered that like as a teenager, I used to mod everything. And so I have like whole like, I don't know, like, terabyte probably is an exaggeration. But like, I don't want to check to make sure with like Sims mods. So definitely yes, I'm a terabyte.

Yeah, I know like very specific, like I want this kind of shoes. I mean, there's crazy, like, there's insane, like the modding Sims community, like, shout out, bless you, but like also it's terrifying. Like, it's a it's a nightmare. But yeah, just like seven, very specific, slightly different, but also like if you were to see them in person, they would look the same kind of shoes.

So I've been playing a lot of the Sims. Definitely time. So yeah, which is a problem. It's like I could be spending time playing like a worthwhile video game and like doing something like productive.

Like, I mean, I regret nothing. Like I want to be like as far as like being a trash person goes like, I don't regret anything, but like, yeah, that's. But yeah, I get time stuck video games like fall out in New Vegas was definitely my time stuck video game. I remember one time I was playing it about eight at night and I have like a couple more hours, be 10 o'clock.

I blink in the eight in the morning. Whoops. Yeah, well, long, very, very long. My dad and I were doing like it was like in February or something.

I we were doing a simultaneous play through the fall out in Vegas. Wow. It was yeah. No, that best fall out game.

Yes, or yes, like. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. I can't get into three and four and I don't know why.

I like four, but I don't know. Right. Just feels grittier. I love all the follows, but I've only ever finished three.

Because four I got bored with and then new Vegas. I had a new thing. Yeah, I just yeah, dad love him so much. She's got to follow through the wasteland.

Yeah. New Vegas is better. But yeah. And for me, I have, I guess for lack of a better term right now, I went to my first Renaissance fair here in Des Moines.

My very, very first one was the Minnesota one, definitely different feels, but I think I have like Renfaire fever right now because I want to go again. Maybe next Sunday. So if any of you are hearing this, I'm sorry if I don't go. Yeah, that's the biggest thing in playing way too much Overwatch right now.

They just released the two to two roll lock and a brand new tank character. And yeah, way too much time on that. I could never get into Overwatch. I like meant to like it.

I played it the first week. It came out and then I left it alone for like, I don't know a year and a half and then I picked it back up and haven't put it down since. I got two wins to Overwatch and now I don't play it. But like classic Wow is back.

So I definitely haven't touched that one because like, I know, I know what happened. Right. I saw post tools, number one on music. Wow is huge.

Like all these crazy things that feels like it's from a decade ago. And there we do that. Yeah. Very much.

And sink is on tour like, yeah, yeah. What year is it? Darkest timeline. The answer.

On my end, I mostly just do video games, but actually just got back from a cross country drive. I drove to Denver. I was here for Paul's live show. And then I was in Grand Canyon, Vegas, Palm Springs, my parents.

It was it was crazy. I went all over the place and I was very tired my back. And yeah, you get into that like Eastern Colorado landscape, like either going to or coming back. And it just like starts to like, it's that terrifying, like nothing.

This area where like there's no scenery and there's no people. And you know, there's no one to hear you scream. Oh, yeah. But like everything else is pretty like you get past that.

I kind of love that isolation though. I just being out in the middle of nowhere, driving through the mountains at like 80 miles an hour is just really cool. Yeah, there's I'm good for like five hours of it. Past that I'm like, well, I'm going to die.

That's it. Like cancel everything. Yeah, no, no one's going to find my body like this is this is that country. Like, yeah, I grew up in the country and that was a fear I had.

I would look out like at the end of the night and just know that if somebody if some no meeting person would come in and murder me and my family, no one would know about it. So you love true crime podcast is what I'm hearing, right? I don't like it's way too close to home. It's a little bit about me.

Let's everybody show their like deepest psychological trauma right now. Let's go. Right before we start playing. Yeah.

Yeah. And I know I think we really get started pretty soon. So we're going to play some real quick and then we will be back. A work company.

What a society. Take it to the side of the US is here. It's not. Are in the field.

What? What adventures? Wait for them. We have an exit.

On. There's no time. That's. This is.

I can do shape. And we're back. So just to give everyone a quick heads up, we're playing Genesis, which is a narrative driven, story driven, very kind of open free form game. We're not going to get any good right now.

We'll pick that up with roles as the players are all kind of still learning as we go. So to jump into it, I think we're going to start with this character. Just you're walking into like a bar or something like that. Can you describe your character to the audience and to us just so we can visually see who you are and you know, go as much or as little in details you want.

All right. As I'm walking in, people are giving me kind of a stink eye, but they're giving me a white bird if this guy hasn't exactly seen a mineral bath in a while. You know, he's, uh, he's grizzled. He's great faces dirty smells.

I haven't looks like he's been around. Yeah, been around the bend more than a few times. He's got a couple of scars and stuff you can see on his face. His hands aren't clean boots are beat up and one of them is untied, but he doesn't care.

So, um, yeah, that's what he looks like so far. Cool. And yeah, what are you doing? You just like go get a drink or a meal?

I start walking up to the bar and I can see some people starting to give me the stink. I just look back at him. Uh, as I get closer to the bar, I see one table is looking at me, you know, a little bit, uh, more intensely in others. I just stare at him, grab him by the shirt collar, blow my nasty breath in their face and sit him back down as I go up to the bar to get a drink.

Um, let's actually look, let's see how it's meeting or, uh, let's roll a like coercion check to see how, how intense you are. Okay. So for you, uh, do you have any ranks in coercion? And coercion.

I do not. Do not. Okay. Um, and what's the, it's based off of the cunning, I believe three.

So roll three of these fancy green days. Okay. And then you're also going to roll. Um, it's a little bit less.

It's gonna be too purple to roll those together and then we will explain how this works. So what you got is these are failures, those cancel out. And then that's success. That's failure.

So that goes to that. So you actually failed, but you got advantage on this. So you didn't necessarily, um, like make them like you didn't do it. Exactly.

What you wanted, but somehow you benefited. Maybe you like built up some confidence. Um, what, what does this look like when you, you failed, but like maybe the rest of the room saw what was going on. Um, so the rest of the room thinks this is funny as hell.

Like the whole room's breaking into laughter. I feel very snug about myself. You know, people didn't stop necessarily looking at me, but they're definitely more on my side than a Mr. Stink guy in front of me.

Well, now stink face courtesy of my breath, but, uh, yeah. Okay. Cool. Yeah.

You just got like a general like heir to the room over you. These guys are still giving you that same guy, but yeah, the room, the room is a whole, I think, like, sort of, you know, seeing you. And then like, oh, this guy's funny. It's funny.

So, uh, I think elsewhere in the room, Monica, you probably saw this, um, described to the audience. Where are you? What are you doing? Yeah.

So I'm sitting kind of by the like back facing the wall, like in a back corner, just drinking my like, you know, average beer, like trying to blend in as much as possible. But yeah, I think this is the worst. I think this is super gross, but so I'm just kind of rolling my eyes and like, uh, people wouldn't want a horrible bar. So I don't necessarily feel super excited about this guy coming in, but like I don't like the guy he was kind of breathing on any better.

I don't like the way so. Okay. Um, and then when when you're in this bar, like what else do you have on you? I know you've got like some weapons.

Are you like always? It is what does it look like? Yeah. So I am wearing kind of clearly like well used, well loved, like maybe one time expensive clothing, kind of like a big, big overcoat.

And like, you know, nice boots that like have seen a lot of wear and tear. So kind of like, you know, just this side of grubby looking, but like still respectable, still kind of like looking, you know, trying to look presentable, but also like trying to kind of blend into the crowd a little bit. Um, yeah. So I've just kind of got a rifle kind of slung like like across like my shoulder, kind of like maybe leaning up against the wall now.

Um, and then just kind of maybe like, like just a knife just to have like, you know, you can you can never have too many knives really, but just kind of like, just as a general like tool of habit. Yeah. Just kind of like sitting up against the wall kind of arms cross just kind of looking at the room seeing. Um, I think if, if I were standing up, it would be clear like that I'm maybe a little bit taller than like, you know, maybe like a 6, 1, 6, 2, like tall, um, blonde woman, maybe just just a little bit north of like mid thirties.

Um, yeah, just kind of trying to to blend in a little bit, but yeah, clearly, maybe there's something like, you know, clearly a little bit too money, a little bit too kind of out of place. Uh, to really belong in this bar where people are just like breathing on each other and like getting into bar fights. I like the breathing and that would be a new softfensive. Yeah.

I mean, yeah, it's critical in check. Cool. So I think we turn over to our third, third hero. Um, you're not in a bar, but I think we see you like running through the streets running away from something.

Yeah. But what do we see? Describe yourself. So, uh, you see, uh, this, uh, this like 12 year old kid just covered in like, uh, like oil smudges and dirt, uh, just sprinting through the street.

He's wearing like this, uh, this red and white striped shirt tucked into these, uh, blue, uh, overalls that have been kind of taken off the shoulders and kind of rolled up around the waist. Uh, you can, uh, you can see if you like, if you look really close, uh, it's really hard to see unless you're like paying close attention, but like the, the flesh on his face is looser than it should be. Uh, and on his back, jutting out of his spine, uh, is this kind of a lump coming out of the shirt, this jacket bump coming out of the shirt. You can't really tell what it is.

Uh, so he's running, uh, he's running through the streets. Cool. Um, anyone with you? Uh, not right now.

Okay. Cool. Um, so I think, uh, on your end, let's have you roll a check to just see how quickly you can evade your, your pursuers. Yeah.

So, rolling, I believe it's acrobatics. Sure. Uh, acrobatics, uh, there's an athletics. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. Roll that one up. Okay. Great.

Uh, that is based on Braun. Braun and do you have any ranks in that? No. Okay.

So you're going to roll three of the green and then roll it against, um, just do one of the purple, the people chasing you aren't chasing that hard. Great. So two of those gunshot, three of those gunshot, look at things and then, uh, and one of the, one of the gunshots cancels out with the purple. Gotcha.

So then you've got two successes and one advantage. So you succeeded in escaping them and then you've got, you've got advantage. What is this advantage? Like, is it like, is it just like you build up yourself confidence or, or is it someone else?

Uh, so, uh, kind of take off down the street, uh, and I cut into a crowded area, like a, like a flea market, right? And there's people all around that kind of slip in, uh, and they kind of lose track of me. And I grab an apple and that's my advantage. Okay.

Yeah. You just, you grab it, you grab an apple down the street and then you just like, start casually walking like, yeah. I just, okay. Cool.

I just spit it out again. Okay. Apple ASMR. I'm into it.

Yeah. Um, and or your friend, is he somewhere nearby or do you have like a protocol? Uh, yeah. So like now that I've, uh, dodged my pursuers, uh, once I start to make it to like a thinner side of the crowd, I just hit my bike.

Uh, and uh, bounds up on these, uh, these hydraulic press legs. Uh, is this brown, black and white boxer, uh, kind of with its legs, is dangling in the, in the, uh, in the hydraulic press legs. Uh, just kind of bounds up to me. Uh, it's got this big, long, uh, metal, metal rod along its spine that's like hooked in and you can see, it's kind of controlling the legs from there.

Cool. And yeah, I think what I got to do is like, it jumps on, you put like, falls on your toes. Oh, yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. They were gonna catch me, no sir. Yeah.

And yeah. And it's probably because he's got these like giant metal legs, he's probably, he's still not quite used to the weight of it. And it's like, it's a bit heavier on your shoulders than you would expect normal dog to be. Um, but yeah, he's just, you know, in like crazy, you know, his isn't, you know, all that.

I just taken it. Okay. Just taking all of it. Cool.

I wait like a good five, ten seconds before I push him down. Okay. Cool. Yeah.

And then I think, I think from that the camera sort of like pans out and we see, um, this cityscape, um, with it first, like this little market, then it comes out and we just see like this like beautiful, like, you know, evening sky, not night, but you know, it's like sun starting to caress and we, you know, comes out, we see all the, all the shops and the stalls and the starting to close up kind of, not quite, you know, there's, you know, final, final round, essentially, you know, the bars are probably, you know, just getting started, but, uh, camera pans out again and we see that this, uh, this market, the city, um, is built on top of this giant airship. It's like this big zep one-style balloon, but on the top of it is just this cityscape where there's like, building built on top and all these stalls and like streetways and it's just this giant giant, you know balloon. It's not fly, but it's more just like static standing like the file, I can't even play that. And then I think it finally zooms out one last time and we just see, um, you know, like the world as a whole, we just see, you know, oceans as far as the eye can see, um, just covered in, you know, water, but it's very, it's very peaceful, peaceful moment where you just see this like, this is definitely, you know, slowly this flint through the air and you see the city, you know, city folk move around like ants on top of this balloon moving, moving around.

And it's just this, this calm moment. Um, then the camera zooms into one of the buildings, probably no block or so down from you into the bar. So, um, I think Monica, so you're sitting at the bar and you're seeing that, uh, you're quite a perceptive person. You're seeing that the three people, three or four people that read that first table, that the guy breathed on and angered, you see that they're starting to, uh, they're starting to give the newcomer some shifty eyes.

Um, and you know, you're keeping on things and he's just sort of settling in for the night, for the evening, I guess. Um, what do you do? Like, it looks like something might be going down, but you're not sure exactly what. So I think what I do is, you know, there's some, some moods shifting.

Like I can see kind of people are grouping up, maybe starting to take a side, like things are starting to maybe go down. So I think what I do is like kind of, I, so I love to the bar, like maybe like next to this person. So I like under the guise of like, vagging down the bartender to maybe order a drink and I, I kind of talk to him. I'm like, so you don't look like you're really good at making friends, but like those guys over there, they, they're kind of looking like they want to kick your ass.

Just a normal Tuesday for me. Thank you. Well, the problem is I was kind of enjoying sitting in this bar and as soon as like a giant bar fight, like breaks out, then my entire night is ruined. So I don't know if you want to like either fix this or go like, well, they can go first.

Besides bar fight can be a little fun. You look like you could hold your own. Right, but that would take a lot of work and, you know, it would ruin my night, but what are you in town here for anyway? Like, no, I'm a bit of a nomad, if you will, I explore a place to place.

I just so happened to be rolling into town and this was the first watering hole I could find. But the locals around here, they refer to me as salt. Salt like the, like the mineral. I like the mineral in a little bit gritty and not everybody finds me.

Yeah. I'm a bit of an acquired taste is what I'm trying to get at. Okay. Well, I'm potentially bad for you in large quantities.

Cool. Well, high salt. I'm, I'm here. I'm here.

Just, you know, I'm just passing through. But yeah, is there anything? Are they looking like they're going to like move anytime soon or? Yeah, roll me a, um, I could see visual lens.

Yeah, I mean, like a vigil. Just to sort of see what I was going on in the moment. And that's a career scale with two levels. Okay.

And what's the status base off? Will and what's your ranking? Well, two. So roll two of the yellow dice.

And then next to that roll, two purple. Okay. So you've got one success from the yellow and then two failures from the purple. So the successes is canceled out.

So you have one, one failure and then you have one advantage. So you don't know what's going on, but you have, you have some form of advantage. What does this look like? So I can't tell what they're doing.

Like, I know they're up to like maybe up to something like maybe kind of starting to like kind of get there, get ready for a fight. I can't tell what's happening, but I definitely have enough sense to like maybe kind of position myself, like maybe facing like kind of slightly moved so that I'm facing towards them while still looking kind of subtly not threatening. So I'm looking at them. I see where they're heading, but you don't know what they're doing, but you're ready for whatever is coming, essentially.

Yeah. Okay, cool. And then I think salt, you sort of notice her. She's like talking to you, but also like, you mean, I like kind of behind you.

And then you hear the sharp movement of like a chair getting dragged across the ground very quickly behind you. You try to look at you just like not give a fuck to step forward. It's just like the last city. So I pull what's the money?

Game question? What's the money called? So I'm going to take three credits out, throw it on the bar. Look at the bar, turn and say I can't be held accountable to what happens next.

So here you go. He's like, you know, he's like, sir, what do you mean? What's what's about this? And like he sees the people behind you like standing up and you just not looking at him and he's like, like looks back and forth, looks sort of side-eyed.

And then yeah, I think a few seconds later, you feel this like shake as like your chair is grabbed from behind and guys from behind you go, hey, buddy, you you breathe on me and you you. And now you're breathing on me. What's your point? And yeah, they're just really, really, really frustrated with you.

And like, and this whole time you're not looking at them. You're just like staring forward, like completely ignoring them. Okay. Okay.

So I think they like one of them like pulls the chair out of it to sort of like try to get you to face them and confront them. They're trying to like they're trying to classify with you and you're just doing this. How do you just let them like turn the chair? What do you do?

I'm going to let them turn the chair. But as they're turning and they've got me facing them, I open up my duster code flashing my roto pistol with a handle that's got brass knuckles built into it. And at the tip of the handle is kind of a rotary where I can flip it in between the two. Okay.

Just flip back and forth. If it flips back and forth. It's set to like by default, you were like quickly just grab it out. I set quickly to pistol mode because a gun shot a point blank range doesn't always fail.

Yeah. And I've got no problem with mess as we can see. But as I flash the unclipped pistol region for I guess the this universe's version of a cigarette kind of a kind of match light it right in their face right in their face. Okay.

Escalating this. Yeah. Roman other question you got you got advantage. You're in their heads.

Okay. So it seems before it's going to be you're gonna bring some points. No. Okay.

So it's going to be based off of your blue bar. Okay. That's two. Yep.

And then you're going to throw into the purple and then you got advantage. Just gonna even with you guys. Okay. Okay.

So you got three advantages against the three disadvantage. So those all essentially cancel out. So everything is canceled except for this one. Sorry.

So you you like you blow in their face and they are like it's yeah. You blow and like they're sort of stunned. They're they're stopped. They're just like staring at you and they go.

You know you blew in my face and I blow in smoke. What's what's what's what's your how what's what's going on. You're the one staring at me. Now we can walk away.

You can get out of this bar and I can go back to enjoying my drink and maybe get two out of those three pieces of credit to the bartender bear or we can escalate this and I would say take it outside but you don't look patient enough. And yeah and they're just like greeting their teeth like and yeah they like and I think one of them like curls up a fist to like like he's like he's like he's about to swing but then like he's just like staring at you or like stone cold like eyes just staring for him and then like he like shakes his head like just don't show cause don't cause him or trouble just leave us alone and yeah just just just get out here. I have to drink just just get out. Fair enough.

Just remember where you point those eyes gentlemen. I turn around and I sit back down and I take two of us three credits back from the bartender. Cool. And yeah they they like slowly saunter away and like they're trying to do that thing where they want to look like they want to they intimidated you that they clearly are not so they're like they're doing that shuffle but like one of them keeps like looking back to make sure you're not going to hit them.

I feel like I pick up on this so I kind of like throw all the cyber my gun is throw the part of my coat back that way and start like patting it while drinking. And yeah and the guy's looking back definitely like he sees he sees that gun and he goes like every time you like patting he like he like tenses up a little bit and you like see them see the muscles just like go and yeah he's definitely like yeah he's done for the night you know. So some Monica Hera what is your reaction to all of this like a fight was like inches away from breaking down you were like right there pretty much like in the middle of all of it. So I kind of like so like my like rifle like I've been kind of like inching it like kind of forward to like maybe like use it as like a defensive weapon like so I'm kind of like okay so I start kind of sliding it back and I'm like alright so I shoot the rest of my drink.

Okay and I'm like okay so so that was pretty well handled like dude like I'm impressed like I appreciate somebody who can manage to like avoid a fight like just by being a badass so I'm like that you know that was really handled like do you find yourself like not getting in fights very often or. Well not in this particular town a lot of these guys are just nothing but blow hard just got to know how to keep them in place other towns not so much I got lucky this time but I do appreciate the heads up though. So do you have any leads on work or anything or are you just kind of passing through. I heard rumors that there might be some work in this particular city but nothing concrete though you looking to.

Yeah yeah so right now I think I'm just kind of between jobs so I used to like I just kind of like yeah so I'm like getting comfortable I'm like yeah yeah so this is a pleasant conversation I'm like yeah I used to be with the brass guild. But brass guild huh things ended badly so yeah I can appreciate that quite a bit. The doors burst open and flip and his dog flop comes strolling in and flip is just like sauntering up right up to the bar so this little kid is just walking around this bar like he owns it. The whole bar is like turn like what is this kid and dog doing and yeah continue.

Hey Jordy what do I have to do to get a drink around here mister. And have you been in this bar before? Yeah I come every now and then. Okay and yeah and Jordy comes out and like looks down flip.

Yeah you know that I can't serve minors here right you've been here before it's. Oh come on today's a special day. What makes you special? Come on Jordy serve the boy.

Yeah this guy gets it you smell bad. You smell bad. Yeah okay flip flip yeah and as this interaction happens you probably smell and he actually does smell horrible. Kind of pat him on the back like come on get up here and I feel that jagged.

Aha yeah. So like oh yeah it feels like like a collection of gears. I guess how I guess game question how rather like what is the general knowledge of the populace when it comes to people's gears on them I guess the question. So in this theme in this theme punk world it's it's not uncommon it's also not super common.

Like a military or people in the brass guild who are you know essentially some people call the parrot that people would call them just three folk. They they have all sorts of stuff you know there are there's like armor there's like suits of armor that have made of these like giant steel clockwork contraptions. Other people have like various like weird weapons or at other times like some sort of like body modifications where you know like an arm is cut off and they replace it with this like weird gnarly clockwork thing. So you're not sure exactly what it is but like it's a thing that happens usually you don't see kids with them.

Right. So that's that's the thing that stands out is people have them but you probably never before seen a kid with these clockwork things in them. They're awful. Awful young they have a body mod.

What's going on with you there? Flip was the name? Yeah yeah that's right. Yeah my name's Salt.

Okay. So what's your story there chief? My story. Oh okay well once upon a time shut up okay I don't have to tell you anything okay mister.

I guess that metal spine of yours really gives you a bit of a sass doesn't it? I don't know what any of that means. I just came here to get a drink. It's been a long day.

Damn steam pump millennials. I think at that you hear the pound of a drink getting you know way down on the table and you know slid over to you flip. Oh wow Jordan you must be kind of shaken up. I didn't have to convince you or nothing.

I just uh any nods to Salt this man uh stuff some altercation earlier so I'm in a mood. All right all right and you take this like yellowy liquid with both hands yeah. Yeah just kind of bring it up to bring it like pretty immediately brings it up to his lips and it takes a big goal. Okay he doesn't know how to sit on anything.

Okay um so what is what is your taste buds like? I'm gonna say they operate normally. Now I'm okay so you get a large goal full of apple juice. Spit it out.

Okay what the heck is this Jordi? It's apple juice you're like 12. Jordi we've been over this I'm at least 14. I don't know how old I am but at least 14.

Jordi the boy looks like he's had a rough day again so I'm stiffer. I'm curious. Yeah we the the goose has chased me all right. And yeah he just like he looks at you and looks assault.

And like assault shooting in that. Yeah yeah and he like he closes his eyes and just like does that like tense more like ah and then he like takes the apple juice. You know pours it down and then he pulls out a much nowhere near his large cup. It's a smaller cup it's not like a kitty cup because they don't have kitty cups at a bar.

Right. It's a smaller cup um that he pours full of a you know a beer. Okay like you can see him pouring it out and then he passes that he says don't drink too fast. You may look like you're 14 but or you may look like you're 12 but who knows.

So so I mean so Hera is like kind of like leaning against the bar. She's had maybe like one you know she's getting there like she's she's been drinking for a while and like it's you know she's just kind of she's not doing anything so this is hilarious to her. So she's kind of leaning up against the bar and be like hey can I have one more of what I'm drinking and just like you know completely innocently like I'll have one more and then like kind of slide it over and be like so you know try one of these like just like this is going to be hilarious. Like let's let's see what happens.

This is where she's the best day of his life. Yeah yeah because he's got two two adult beverages. Oh yeah and how how strong are you doing? Are they?

Oh I am drinking like like I am yeah I am drinking like a nice whiskey. Okay. Oh yeah very like just on this side of pretentious like kind of yeah walking that edge of like practical and like a little bit bougie so like okay I'm gonna appreciate a good whiskey. Okay so and I'm like this is like yeah like this is great like this is great like this is great like this will be funny like let's see if they like end up like hitting each other or like he ends up on the floor like whatever this is gonna be great so I'm like yeah let's let's do another round.

Cool so he he flip takes the the drink that that Hera shoots over first because she's a cool adult and not the dumb bartender. Okay he picks that up and kind of like raises it to her it's just like thanks. You think you're being like really swab and cool like my lady. He doesn't know any better.

It's a little hair coming up on your neck there. Yeah he's freaking out internally like he's like if he could blush he would be. And he takes once again he doesn't know how to sip on anything so he takes like just a big old gulp of this and I imagine it tastes like ass. Oh yeah for yeah essentially the body of a 12 year old like oh yeah you're yeah.

Let me a resilience check you've got it. Dippability three so we three of the purple dice. We purple let's point. It'll be green dice based on your skill unless we're trained in it.

Just trying to find it. Should be a general skill. There it is so that's bronze so three green. Yep three green and then three purple.

And add in a black dice just because you're 12. Okay yeah that's right because. All right so that's not great. You want to interpret that for me Captain?

So that's four failures and one success so knock out those top ones. So yeah you uh and then is it one of those? That's it. Right on the side.

Yeah there's one. So um do things happen. One you you immediately feel it. You like you get this like immediate dizziness and like everything sort of starts to shake.

Take um there's two yeah take a three string. As you just suddenly like the world starts to spin. Sure. But then like and the two of you can definitely see that this kid is like he takes it and he's immediately like bounding and like shaking a bit and like his eyes are laser focused on the drink now because he has to focus on something that's what's in front of him.

In there. Yeah and like I'm looking at the staring at this liquid and it's just like it's pretty still but to flip it's like roiling and churning like an ocean during a story. You definitely like you like zoom in and like you probably like probably shaking a little bit and like you just get visions of like giant storms out on the vast oceans of the world and like in that in your head it's just like it's just like almost like nightmare you know fuel where you're just like oh what do I do what do I do what do I do what do I do like this whole internal thing is going on but you still have a drink and you still have half of that drink and then the whole of the beer left what do you do? So I'm going to exclaim kind of not like my facial expression doesn't change at all it's just like whoa howdy that is some good stuff and he kind of like looks over at salt and hair I was just like yeah this is your first drink isn't it son it's not my drink drink just for the yeah say the alphabet backwards that's a normal adult scale do that oh absolutely it is that's a really classy you know fancy adult thing that people can do right but let's that's so easy do it on one foot I'll do all of that but I'm gonna I'm gonna make it a little harder I'll take I'm gonna take the rest of the drink okay we're gonna do that you seem to be a man of your word that's right I am a man I'm gonna take that drink oh guys you grab the other drink and you just you just drop it yeah I'm now that I'm accustomed to like the the awful whiplash of it I'm just gonna he's just gonna take the whole thing okay so he just takes the rest yep roll me that same add another black dice yeah that's what I was thinking yeah cuz you're 12 because I'm 12 and he's buzz already well drunk yeah he thinks he's drunk all right so that's better not great but that so you've got three successes and then you've got those three failures on those two purples so those all cancel out so then you have the two advantages to advance cancels all out so ultimately what you have a single failure so yeah so you take one more point of strain you got it and and yeah you just again you take it and you know you know it like pounds down on the table you hear this thud not necessarily in your own control you just you have to put it down without draw otherwise you knew you would just like drop a thing yeah play with me muscles kind of relaxing oh yeah yeah and like and again everything is just like swirling in your head and like you know your entire face is starting to go numb you can like feel your teeth you know just like all sorts of like weird feeling and senses that you just that are just way off um I think at that the bartender comes up goes what and he looks to the two what did you do I know it was entirely his fault I didn't do anything and I he's look at him he's adorable like I just like Jordy two more credits this is for science look this is a backwater town there's nothing interesting to do uh just you know he's that he needs to learn to grow up sometime hey flip why don't you uh finish that beer too because as I say like a before beer in the clear is that the whole saying that is the whole thing wow and yeah I think the partner is like sees this interaction just like shakes his head grabs the two credits um from you and like pockets and just goes just don't let him die in here and then he like storms off to serve someone finger finger guns like outside it is I yell out after him oh don't worry I don't think death is gonna be a concern I kind of nudge salt a little bit just jokes on him I didn't pay for that beer you're right uh I go to reach for the beer kind of with both hands and I feel like a tug on my arm as uh flop is like no no so I don't think I've noticed that the dog at this point so I see the dog and I'm suddenly like very excited uh and I just like so who's the puppy and I like just like oh and like I scratch I do the butt scratch and then I think you didn't see the dog gets closer you see this like giant metal like spine down its back and you see that all four of his legs are just these like big clockwork metal things but he still comes up and approaches like you know good loving dog does so this yeah my heart is broke I immediately like I like leave my seat and just kind of like crouch on the floor and like my attention is fully on on the dog like oh you poor sweet boy like who hurts you let me fix oh yes let me fix it yes what a what a good boy yes oh yeah he's yeah just like all over you and again kind of like before the dog doesn't understand how much weight he's got especially because he's like big metal leg so like he likes or like jumps up on you and he like pushes you down a lot more than a regular dog wood and like you probably have to like kind of control so you don't get these like giant metal gashes and you know your arms and chest I don't even care what a good boy such a good boy waffle good boy oh yeah um okay flop sure man you go get it I'll fight someone else I think you're this because I might touch it as fully like oh what a good puppy I uh flip just talks a really big game yeah I think you might have trouble there flip I don't think they take the revenants too nicely in these parts oh what's that that's uh it's what you are isn't it cool awesome the best mechanic in town put you back together or you are flip his butt fist uh I mean yeah if you're physical you do what you do you got a drink in front of you a dude calling you things well drunk look oh I'm looking dirty man when you like raise your hand you like chick that you're at him and it just kind of walks around just kind of slashes I clean up a boot off it's all over his arm but I don't know what you're trying to start here okay I just came here to have a celebratory drinker three and I didn't what do you want oh nothing just wanted to see if we're having a good drunk and I found out that they could no judgment just normal just a normal kid okay who convinced the bartender to give him a drink that's normal stuff so her as kind so like her ear kind of perks up at the the word of revenue I think she like yes yeah I think she she knows like you know it's kind of like a dirty dirty word like she's very like you know so the idea that this like little kid that she you know it kind of led into a dark path uh for the evening uh some slight delinquency issues like the idea that like that's kind of like you know that's a little off-putting but so I think her ear kind of perks up and she's listening in and she's like she's waiting for him to like admit it or like I don't know do something like immediately evil because like you know that's what she's expecting but so I think she kind of like maybe like keeps petting petting the good puppy and just kind of like stands up and's like so wait a minute you're a revenant and like what are you doing here did you know what listening I said no uh not one just sure but hypothetically let's say that you were and like she notices like the the gearwork too now that she's she's actually looking for it and she's like man what the hell happened to have a kid this young like like is are you from here like is this the kind of town that this is like and she's immediately like because it's a pretty that's a pretty intense story uh flip slams the beard down onto the bar it just sloshes everywhere and like her jumps out everyone gets hit a little bit by the my boots and my coat uh flop let's go this place sucks whoa whoa whoa and I like put my like hand on your head in like the most patronizing why like no sorry like you're not we're getting you home like we're slightly responsible for this and I say slightly because obviously yeah we'll walk you home for you've been quite entertaining didn't mean nothing but I know plenty of revenue uh ran into plenty of revenue so my travels and trust me I've been around that's certainly an irrelevant fact okay as I'm just where do you live like do you have where's your parents what like you know like I don't come asking about you know you're rifle or anything okay like what what do you why you guys care mild interest I've never met a revenue before so like either of I okay absolutely so but like hypothetically if I were to meet a revenue like how how would this have happened I don't I don't know and I just kind of like look over to salt being like uh oh we made him too drunk so um that's how I'm going to understand right now i'm a character you are like yeah he suspects that there's something weird about him but he doesn't really know for sure because he doesn't he does or spends enough time with anybody to really learn like how they work okay so I heard the term revenue before is like the first time people have thrown that word at him okay times so it's not a thing that you know any real information about it's more of a it's a thing that's thrown insulting that you only heard it as like hey you know dirty rather whatever it is they get set insultingly yeah now you are drunk at a bar and you're in these like barrage of questions thrown at you so what is this like internal look like are you because like you're in a very weird place both socially and like mentally you know liquor and questions and he's mostly scared at this point like he just wants to escape the situation like he just wants to run away like he doesn't want to lash out violently that usually doesn't end well when this word starts coming out yeah with like two giant people with lots of weapons like standing over human head and also you know like you are you're stronger than most 12-year-olds would be like you know that you probably lash out at things like this and hurt people before so you know that if I if I do something it would be bad and I could hurt them and I could get in trouble yeah absolutely okay so I don't want this to ask like to violence okay I just want to leave so I kind of sense this and I'm like I look over at something so we know I can get drunk like let's go find the spiciest food possible all right let's let's like so partially out of like hey how can I be kind of an asshole but also like you know spicy greasy food it's the best thing let's let's get some food in this poor child all right and I think both her and so come on each side of flipping just outside here we go you stop no and I think there's a moment where um the the dog um so like you you yell stop and I think I think the dogs have jumped up on you um because no he were loving the dog earlier so like he he jumps up on you and like he doesn't bite you but he like he like jumps up in like a small growl at you um what do you do you have this like a dog like you know he's a heavy because he doesn't know his own way so like oh you're just protecting him aren't you here a good dog you can come with anybody can get you food too roll me a persuade I think it is okay I'm not exactly what's going on this game can he have advantage because he offered food oh yeah definitely okay let's see how I'm like dried but that means to and then do you have any ranks in I think it's persuade I've got convinced or as I say is charm coercion charm charm all right I do not okay so it'd be uh two of the green um can I see his character she can't so it would be uh um it'll be two purples but uh then you get that advantage though I've entered so I won't let them roll that guy okay so that is um for advantage um and then only only one success which gets canceled out so you you failed but you got a bunch of advantage um so what does this look like you have not convinced the dog that it's okay but something else happened and this is uh this she here has a bunch of like example things you can do with that advantage um so you can either like help a friend or and maybe what it is is here I can see that the dog is not calmed down and maybe you can give her some assistance in like calming this dog because the dog is very much like defending its owner right his owner's now being like picked up by these two older people um I mean yeah what do you you failed so I noticed like the dog is still growling at me so I think I'm gonna turn to her like her he likes you maybe I smell too bad I say yeah probably and then I'm like okay come on Poppy like let's go and I like I nudge you and I'm like okay come on call your dog let's go yeah uh so just like seeing this escalate just like flop down like maybe that's the way it can be it's like flop down they're not I don't think they're trying to hurt me that's what you think never mind flop yeah I think the dog really like nestles up with you for a second okay and then like looks back and forth between the you know very these people they're just jerks but they're not they're not bad they're just jerks I like pulls them like candy out of my pocket and I'm like dogs can probably have this right and then so I like the dog and some some some breathments I'm like yeah you try to say something but like you're you know just like he doesn't burn as much calories because he can't move his legs well we'll go for an extra walk come on kid let's go like the food place isn't exactly close okay and you guys walk off to the I'm assuming there's like a food market like getting later like let's go find like a food stall yep yep yeah so you got you guys you guys walk walk off towards the direction of the food stall and I think we are going to take our first item right there so we'll be back uh later stay tuned for part two of episode one of type all hashtag delinquency all day long drop kids drop kids
