We're back. It's tidefall. We're a little bit behind scheduling and life is difficult, but we're here. We're I don't know Hey Jeff, I got a quick warning for you and probably the listeners it is around 6 30 on a Friday night So I've got a I've got a tall boy of mule here and a lot of chaotic energy to this What kind of what mule do you have?

Do you have the copper cat? What is it? It just says mule. I think it's a mule branded Moscow mule generic Good good miss this earlier, but I'm drinking a Bud Light seltzer mango my tie Fine Man, I'm boring.

I'm drinking water with tropical fusion mule energy in it. So I love that stuff. I get that orange chain It's it's tasty. It is tasty.

I just I drink a lot of water, which is good, but also boring I just have water. So you got one up on me Jeff I'm a basic bitch child and I'm trying to drink more water instead of monster energy drink And so I put the stuff in the water so that I will drink it faster. Oh, it's monster energy. Oh, no Just the well, yeah, it's like a four-year-old where you went down the juice, right?

Yeah, I mean I get it. I like there's a guy worked with he would take his five hours and put it in water He's like I can't oh I can't handle five. So it's like two and a half hour energy. I'm like, I don't know that's not how No I will say bad for your nervous system, right?

There was a period in my life I was drinking so much of the mu energy because I just I was drinking like some of it in the afternoon I was drinking so much of it that there was a week where I was out of groceries And I just didn't go to get it all thought it was me oh and like a couple things was like I don't think rich another week I didn't have it and I was like essentially like it was like a drug drug eat that had the drug But I didn't have caffeine I was like I always tired angry like I realized I'm way addicted to caffeine So I've since then pretty heavily cut back and I only drink it every month now Because I was very very very dick to the caffeine which you don't think about but it is a drug Very much so. I mean I don't want to minimize obviously Addiction is horrible and caffeine is not that bad, but like it definitely does have a physiological effect. I've quit diet coke I don't drink diet coke anymore, but I definitely Absolutely have gone into full withdrawal like massive headaches and I like definitely horrible. Oh man.

Yeah, it's really bad I want to drink less of it. I'm done to not I haven't had a two monster day in a while Let's go man. Oh Oh, man, yeah, it's not great the only time I do that is if I go on one of my really long stupid road trips And I'm driving like 16 hours in a day. I'll drink two or three monsters throughout the day.

Yeah, nothing counts But you know that's the only time ever to come out So when I'm on the road and it's typically it's the like the five caffeine T versions or whatever it is Which I've heard actually has more caffeine which I did not realize until recently, but good is what it is Good good Monster juices a lot. Yeah, if I if I'm doing one of those drives and I do like if I start in the morning I will get one I think it's the like orange cross It's basically orange juice with monster energy and it's incredible, but also a lot of caffeine in the morning Orange and the like taurine I can't imagine pair very well together. Yeah I never I never got super like I don't really drink coffee like I don't really like the like bitter taste so I'll drink coffee with Like a bunch of sugar and like so it's really really coffee But like if I had like from a young age gotten into just plain black coffee I feel like I would have less of a reliance on like energy drinks. No, I think that's it for me Like that's the that's the key takeaway because like if something's too sweet I can't deal with it.

I have to have like my bitter black coffee It's probably better for you. I don't Yeah, I mean well, yeah, when I was drinking Diet Coke every day was like Things I can't have monster because each serving size is like a third of the bottle something It's basically a meal. It's like a 500 calorie meal that it's just to get you going So I'm sure coffee has some calories, but not as much Unless you put like cream and sugar in there. It's zero.

It's just flavor water. Yeah, it's like tea. Um, no We talked a lot about caffeine and light We're gonna It's being a drugs. Let's let's get the tidefall.

You can make what they used to call on the freelance explorer board field crafted beds or FCM's So he'd like to make a few like, you know, he pulls out this pouch It's got a couple of select herbs a couple of tinctures of you know some kind of distilled alcohol You know something that seems very medicinal 100% so he just kind of goes to the nearest table that isn't overturned Sets it up, you know, it starts putting herbs in his mouth chew in a mouth because they need to be diced and Well, he only attempted before the day was in like a hotel lobby mixing some drugs because there's bombs going off in the city That was a bartender.

I'm sure watches like what the fuck are you doing? I mean, it's less a watch like there's a little bit of chaos going on right like bombs have been going off at the police station Bigger bombs going off elsewhere in the city like things are going on the town doesn't realize what's happening yet But like there's a slight a slight drips city I'm imagining that the owner of the hotel is just sitting behind the bar with his feet up on top of it Just like smoking smoking the last cigar just looking around like yeah, so we go I think I'm a Titanic film sitting in the tuxedo watching the water come in like I think flip approaches the bar while salt makes his drugs Excuse me, sir the world's ending. I'd like your hardest orange juice He looks down to you hard what? Orange juice The the man looks around but confused he's English Glass still giving you a confused look I can see so I'll be like just pour the damn orange juice already as he's chewing the You know full mouth of herbs and shit.

Yep. He pulls out a container Porsing you know the orange juice and then he like pulls out a actual fresh orange and like, you know Juices it and then he like looks down and goes hardest, huh? And then he drops the actual like you know skin pulp of the orange juice or of the orange into the juice bottle and passes that over to you Flip stifles a cringe He just not even gives you a girl I'm gonna try and take it all in one good. Okay.

Do you including the like rind and chew it or you just add all the juice Yeah, absolutely Okay cool, let's Yeah, we're gonna make a roll. I feel like that's a resilience check to both drink a lot and also like chew on like, you know Orange skin. Oh, I love that. Yeah, and that was all that one success and what does it look like do you like chew on the pulp and like So I'll do like chew on it and like spit out what was you with it you are able to do whatever So of course of course so like I take the whole like the whole glass in one gulp The the order to splashes into you know all the way down into flipscat and he makes direct eye contact with the hotel owner And begins to chew the rind slowly crump And just like the oils start to kind of dribble a little bit out of his mouth as he like takes a big Hardy gulp of orange rind Yeah, the owners just giving you like this really weird like his eyes initially is like you being like okay Yeah, go for it and then like as you just start chewing this rind his eyes go Why like what the fuck and then I think that's all maybe you realize that you're like, you know You're a little bit dead like he didn't realize right away You're like a little bit dead and like a little bit dead and like you're a weird Sinking right away But then he likes it looks like what though and the eyes go wide things go weird And then we're all baby he just shakes his head and like looks around and I think as he looks the camera pans over to where salt is at Making his fcm's was that the verbage? Yeah, I think is that here I kind of finishes like the experience I think flip wants to come over with a fresh glass of orange juice So after after the first dose of this mechanically you'll normally heal five But I believe once prepared by self will do one more so be six is that correct? And I think she's just kind of like sitting or looking at the shot like trying to like contemplate next steps Okay, yeah, he'll uh pour for you. Just give you a grunt like huh? So you know the end of the world and then her and does a shot Yeah, I think he raises up a glass of something. You're not sure what it is but he raises a glass and drinks alongside you It's not a shot.

It's just a drink, but he drinks alongside you Cheers Gives you a nod and yeah, you you drink it. It burns but not quite the same burn as the drugs I'm more familiar burn very much more from a burn cuz your hair is always you drink it, right? Yeah sure well that okay I just she always seem to be as someone like yeah drink like harder liquids than you know the regular beers like you know We asked her her her time as a sailor or a equivalent sailor. I definitely pardon for taste Yeah, I think well she came from rich money So I'm pretty sure it used to be a champagne thing, but pretty sure she could do a wine tasting or two But yeah, I think whiskey sounds about right Okay, cool So You know that there were effectively like three Major bound south of the city there was one sort of near where you guys are on one edge of the city near the like ports and all that You know, there's one in the center of the city There's a pretty large factory district there and then there's the other one which is much more in a residential area That is only a subsidy You don't think there's any way you can get there before the bombs gonna be going off because they're going off at some point the next You know number of hours right the one that went off seem to go early But there's one you think you can get to beforehand, but it's gonna be cutting it potentially close And it's a travel it's a number of hours away, but your hope is to take stop one of the bombs from going off to potentially delay the descent of the city What is the plan?

Yeah, you could yeah move fast with quiet From where she was looking it's like okay, here's the deal We're fucked either way, but I think we should all make our way to the closest bomb And I think we should split up to do it I think that's the best chance of at least somebody making it there and then maybe being able to do something about it I think we won't be able to make it to the far one I think we should just split up take our chances and book it But I hate splitting up you might be right wasn't one of the what's not one of the bombs in a residential area Shit, yeah, fuck maybe we should go for that one first Yeah, that would that one is much further away You could try to get to that one before things go off But it is the farthest one away so you're gonna have to go very fast and then you may not make it in time That one's essentially you guys are on one inch of the city so the city's really large I'm provided to the city is like markets and ports. It's much more an iconic You're essentially in the county sector lots of bars the central city There's a lot more there's a lot of like factories and government buildings and then the far end of the city is much more residential It's more spread out and things take more time to get through because it's just in general more spread out larger buildings And whatnot it's also where the rich people would live because they own places, but I'll put it in general It's just residential period. There's both rich and poor parts of that town, but it's just a lot of residential stuff So that's actually the first way of fast can I should get there? How far away were we from the ship there from the ship itself you're probably 20 minutes you can get to your ship fairly quickly The ship itself could fly over there faster.

There isn't Ports there obviously you can like park anywhere. It's just it's trickier because you know the ways to like tie ships down Yeah, like you can park it anywhere, but it gets tricky is to like how do things say connected especially as the city is descending slowly Maybe the last thing you want to do is you know, I much more okay with some factories burn than letting people who have nothing to do with this You know, maybe okay, can we get a hold of can we run and get have Joan your I already left? Like I think we can be fast because I think there's too much to worry about stealth I think as Hera it starts trying to like be stealthy, but realizes she's not gonna keep up So she kind of compromises by like sticking to like the side of buildings like wincing every time She has to step out of like the like an alley or like into the the main center of a road to get through Just like chanting fuck fuck fuck fuck to herself as like Like she's imagining getting shot like every single second I think flip flip proposes running ahead on flop to just get there as soon as possible Okay, we can we can do like separate role like we can have flip and flop make like an athletics check We can have Hera making a stealth check if you want or everyone can like go speed but flip and flop are definitely faster because you're on the talk right So I'll let it makes every checks for that. Yeah, we're all going about it in our own Yeah, I think yeah the thing's makes sense to me is yeah athletics Stealth and potentially if you navigation just like find the right routes whatever makes sense to the group Um, I would like to take the rooftops if possible. You're doing a little bit ahead of Hera You're like, you know, essentially you're finding the route as she's trying to be quiet and stealthy because she knows that um There is an assassin out looking for the group of you and as you are Traveling you are good to go. So Um, you were able to go through things you're you know finding the routes you and it's a lot of like you're moving quick But not quite as fast as flip is but you're not moving quite as slow as Hera So you're like finding the roots turn your way down and alleyway you run down and you know run down and it takes some time Right, it's probably you know two out two to three hours of this like running this way running that way But eventually you are able to um traverse the journey to where it is you need to go um finally We've got miss Hera you are trying to stay as quiet as you can though. It's difficult because there's a bit of cast It's not full on riots yet.

Um things are weird You know the skyline is a bit tilted which is confusing people and people are concerned and some people are freaking out because there were bombs going off Elsewhere in the city but as you get out of the initial sector It was less chaotic, which means a little bit less a little bit more difficult to hide Um, so it's gonna be a bit trickier if you hide because after you get out of that so the people's know a little bit But you are able to try to sneak your way through the city. Yep. I think her I kind of just pulls her hood up and tries to blend in as best as she can Okay Um, yeah, I'm gonna go. I'm actually actually blue die.

Um essentially actually it'll be too blue because one the dice from salt into He's essentially finding a path and he's like, um every like corner you're making your keeping an eye out for things Um, I feel like it was not dead yet. So that means he must be it must be safe up ahead He's one. He's not dead yet into he's like he's like giving a path But you're also you're being something but also you're like keeping out on things right? It's kind of like the point of like you're being something but also you're keeping an eye out to make sure that like if things go bad Everyone will know because here is got a voice as everyone knows Um, so got it.

You're you're good to roll So with that that is a lot of success. It's a net of four tests You are able to turn at some point guys. Yeah, it's at some point the double purples are gonna like show their head And it's gonna become a problem. Um, you buy all over you.

They did that call out. What do you do? Uh, I think her I ignores it. I think she ducks her head and uh Just keeps going.

Okay. Um, doesn't look bad. Okay. So what happens next is you hear someone behind you running and they call out a hair and Um, do you turn at your name or do you continue going?

Uh, I think she ducks into Yeah, so here see is the next alleyway. She's got like the mental map of what's around her She kind of ducks into the next alleyway Uh And then she waits for the person to follow her and if they follow she's gonna go for the fucking throat and like push them up against the wall and like Uh, punch them in the throat. Okay, cool. So you turn down this alleyway.

Um, maybe at this point Solve you may have noticed that like you look back and hair is just gone She's being very stealthy. Whatever's going on has, you know, Deceved you like look back at you like you're waiting for a moment and you don't know what's going on at this moment. Um, you Do a perception check? It's like big factory doors, right? So there's a door, but then there's also like the big wall factors for like appalling and larger women Um, and it's on a fairly large road for obviously if you're moving big equipment to big items they need to be able to get in and out, right? Um, that's you can see from your current position You can travel around and sort of get some more information if you guys want to sneak around But you guys have at the moment to stay like a block to away for obvious reasons, right? Flip patrol around the uh on the rooftop.

See if you can see anybody kind of sitting guard up top Okay, right you and I let's kind of poke around the base. So you were traveling probably like it's probably like a bit of like walk a reason a bit of like Climbing down to like onto like a side of walls but you're doing the like spider thing walk, right?

So like you may be like 10 feet from the top of your like walk along the side of these buildings once again leaving Impressions of metal claws digging into buildings. Um, but you're able to climb around this space And what you see is the building itself. There's two long walls which have like very long sparse brick walls Um going in those ways would be very tricky when involving up things Which you may not want to do because there's probably bomb inside on the ends There is one end that you guys initially saw that had these like very large factory doors that would open up into You know large doors that open up in the factory very clearly like big hole, you know for moving big equipment um and then on the other side there is Just a single door Uh, like non large factory doors just like a pretty basic door on that side there is Um a bunch of windows the side of the factory doors there's like two small windows like in the factory doors themselves Like you know, you know see where like where the like handles are to open things up Um, so they're not opening the factories into like other things But on the side without factory doors, uh, there's a lot of windows instead of like open up in front of the factory On the inside of this factory it seems weirdly enough to be almost business. There are people there there people there that are um There's some people that it's not like an active factor in things.

There's like a few people talking and they don't but they don't seem to be at the moment Brass skilled people. Um, they're not like obviously armed and just as pirates. Um, but there are people Um one of the people talking looks to be a bit better dressed to maybe like a manager or some form um but An immediate glance. It does not look like brass guild is here Which is either concerning or relieving to know how you want to take it Um, so the group of you after you you know do this area of the you know walk around the factory You know, it's different of you.

You know, you guys see different things you guys group up and discuss this as a whole Um, you guys take the scene. How are you guys going to take it? All right, we got a bunch of people in there looks like a manager business as usual can't tell it's Brass go or not. Did anybody see like I don't know a foreman's office Like maybe there's some kind of paging system or you know bell system where you can call for lunch breaks Maybe you can be some kind of alert where it's like everybody gets held out See what happens near not the side of the big doors, but the other side with the windows There would be like an office up there.

Um near that front Um, it was like there's like doors that went in and there was like a little reception area and then up that there was like a Like an internal stairwell that led up to like an office that would like overlook the factory Was it getting up there might actually some They can get to a flip. Um, how quiet you're able to do that is up to your checks But uh, you know, there are definitely going to the office from the outside So maybe maybe what you see is you're like climbing on the side of the building and like you like know where the office windows are And like you turn the look around before you turn the corner just to get one last glance and you see Um, you see that you know, you got an eye of now bringing this strange person up to salt and hera There's a brief conversation and then now you see the you know, the person with the flyers walking up to the you know, one of the doors Um, like one of the factory like he's walking to go toward into the building He just want to walk in as you're climbing around the other side to go in the like manager's office essentially Cool, um, but then you turn the corner. You can't see anymore.

He's on like big off You know factory doors you're on the other side and you climb up to these windows. So Roming a stealth check once more since getting a bit closer and things are happening Cool. Um, do you have any bonus with any blues on that? I don't believe so now.

Okay. I'm gonna go then Jesus that is a lot of successes. So everybody leaves because I heard a broken window So actually what happened is today is tornado drill day and they all the site takes exactly Yeah, so actually what what happened is is you're at the window and you can see into the window into the office and in the office The office is like it's an office, but it's sort of like it's an open office It's not a closed door and you can look directly down into the actual factory itself. Essentially.

It's less than office more like an overhang word There's a desk and thanks. Um, and you look inside and what you see has happened the reason why you got all these successes uh, narratively is there's a light coming into the factory as the door is pushed forward and you see this unknown man We know him as ractus um has put walked into the factory and now a bunch of people are angrily approaching him like and you can't hear what they're saying But like they look concerned that they're approaching him quickly but because of that no one's looking direction. Um, and um But the windows are locked you can break them if you want to spread a sort of what you can it will You can like happen to find the lock window. Otherwise you'd have to break them or like pick a lot pick a lot or like, you know Try to detach them in some way.

Let's go doggery this shit. So doggery. Okay, cool. Um, I will give you a balloon because of all those successes and everything else plus he's inadvertently distracting for you.

So, you know, I Um, I think you know salt kind of noticed a couple coats just hanging up You know some that looks like worker coveralls or something like that um, and he tosses over there like he put this on and we're just gonna Make some of the crowd and make our way up to the office With salt so you guys are walking on the like east side near where flip went in towards the office So, you know, he's at the office, you know, ractus is causing a hub over in one spot So I think we're opposite of where ractus is okay It's not gonna say I basically a lot of the like people in the factory themselves and the like the form and looking dude are over near Ractus there on one side and you guys have all gone over to near the door underneath where flip it This looks like you know up near the ceiling.

Um, where he's broken the window, but you guys going over to that door on the other side Right. Okay. Cool. Um I like it so And are you immediately like trying to like unlock the door break your way in Do any of you have other than flip and flop with his uh, so other skills to like unlock things or how do you want to get in?

Oh, and they're stuck sort of between a rock heart place Does Hera or salt or flip do anything because they're like like, uh, they don't want to do Hera pushes past, uh, and starts to like examine the nearest piece of machinery And she's like unbelievable. Yeah, two of the the workers run over to the foreman The foreman at this point has calmed down and like whisper something to the factory workers The two of them look at ractus and ractus looks at them He's like muttering something outside of you guys can't hear him The two of them grab him by the shoulders walk him to the large door and just chuck him out the door And you see him like tumble in the street outside and we're gonna take a quick break to see what happens in the factory, uh Stay tuned. Oh, look smiles to himself as ractus gets chucked out good so there is the rock and tumble of uh Ractus getting just chucked out of the building by these you know two pretty big and tumble all right factory guys, right?

They just throw him And then they immediately go back to the foreman and talk to the foreman as and I'm assuming during all of this Here it is just like standing the thing like doing the like the foot tap thing like I'm waiting Or is there something more advanced or yelling or what are you doing? Every second that passes by uh her foot taps just a little bit harder. Okay, and it's like um Yeah, I think at this point one of the I keep almost on them guards because I might I don't know if he gets in safe But I'm real 20. I've just got generic NPC guards and I keep one of them guards with just the factory workers It's unfortunate their generic name makes me think I could just you know They're gonna get shot Like start not for the listeners but for you guys I will change the name to just NPC Five times But yeah, factory workers do so the fact one of factory workers comes up and it's like, um, sorry man Where they were looking at the foreman now.

He had a disturbance. Um some crazy old uh, yeah weird child word Which I came in so would you say that sort of thing happens often? Um, but he just barged in um He he said he had important news for us and the end of the world was coming and yada yada yada So in terms of security protocol, he would say it's generally blacks is what I'm hearing here.

It's just watching and keeping out of the situation You know, just kind of looking around um, you know might run my fingers Over the equipment be like dusty.

It's more just like there's a button on the desk There's wires that go from the um the like speaker and this you know the wires connect You know on the ground they run across the ground on the desk and on that desk There's like a button and then there is a second button and then there is a like ready you can talk into and there's one button that Is normal on the other button that um has like the word emergency printed on oh press the emergency button Okay, and you press the emergency button and there's suddenly like a like Wow, wow, and then um there is a large mechanical noise as the um There's like emergency stops built into the line that everything is cut like it's like metal pieces are like locked into stop Any lines from running now currently the lines aren't running but there's like backup guard to go into place that suddenly Uh go into effect um additionally Some additional lights turn on in the room to light up the place just to make sure that there's no like nothing happening going on Basically, it's you know, make sure essentially hey someone got caught in the machine when you just stop that from happening is what that's funny for So you press that lights all turn on loud machine noises happen is everything like shuts down and stops emergency breaks go in Then I want to press the push to talk button Okay, yeah, you grab the radio with a very big obvious button on it you pick it up and the second you press it There's like a crock like you know the electronics activate Hard workers and worker heads. This is your foreman flip speaking I don't know if y'all noticed Get down here like the other foreman is yelling in your direction Some emergency searches so I need everybody that isn't well armed Whoever's in there right now Hera like on his way to the off.
