And we're back. Part three. So you guys walk into this bar. You know, the three of you and the dog.

And you definitely get some eyes, but it's not like, not like something everyone's looking at you, but you know, doors open, people come in, you know, and it's some people that, you know, they look the part, but they don't necessarily recognize you. What do you do? So, whenever we get eyes, I wave my wrench and I say, I'm a recruit. I like slap him over the head, which is very much like, I assume that'll blend in because like, oh, recruits the worst.

And like, I think that's, yeah, everybody like, totally like stops taking attention. Is that a common thing that they would recruit kids? Yeah, absolutely. I think even if it's not even recruiting into like formal ranks, I think everybody's got like, like little sources, like little like, and then like the kids who really excel, I think maybe get like pulled into the actual like recruiting process.

But I think it's totally not suspicious. The dog is maybe a little suspicious, but like, no, not that's a, like, there's been weirder things I'm sure, like in the den of part of mercenary people. So I think here I like quickly like takes control over the situation and kind of steers both of them into like a corner booth and like sits them down and then walks up to the bar and kind of leaves them to like sit in the corner and walks up to the bar to see if she can, you know, she'll order some drinks and then kind of go through the expected process of like introducing herself to like whoever's in charge of stairs, you know, and then see. It's like the invite from the, yeah, yeah.

Yeah. So I don't want to drink anymore. Well, don't. Yeah.

If somebody puts a drink down for me, I was supposed to drink it, right? Not all the time. So much to worry. You do.

I don't like it's rough. Hera comes back and she's like got like three drinks and she like puts like one in front of flip and then one in front of it. So she's got like a just like a beer or like whatever they have on tap, like just some boring stout and then she like puts something like kind of orangeish or like immediately drinks it. It's apple juice.

Apple juice. Yeah. Cool. This must be expensive because it doesn't hurt at all.

And she kind of like puts like does like a quick shot of whiskey and then like puts another glass down like where she's going to be sitting later and she's like, okay, wait here. Don't talk to anybody. Just play a cool. I've got this.

Just, you know, be on the lookout, but I think you should be fine. You're just a hero. Don't move. I would have been system talking.

Then I give you full permission to be the shit out of him and then she just kind of walks off and like goes back to the bar. So I'll check it out. He pulls out the revolver to show the car. We're the same.

We're the same. What the gun away on one side and the homie other. I named him my gun too. That's adorable.

They'll put it away. Yeah, right. Sure. Slice a pack.

Into his pocket because he doesn't have holes to. Kind of leans over the smack. Oh, we're blending in people. Yeah.

And the camera pans over to Hera at the bar. Okay. So I am talking to the bartender. I just delivered the drinks and I'm like, I, so I'm a member.

I'm new to town. I just left a company out on the waters. I'm looking to kind of get introduced to somebody in town. She kind of like leans into the bar and shows the pen.

And she kind of gives off the vibe of somebody who's really excited, maybe too excited to like a really excited, new recruit, fresh meat kind of thing. So she's like in the pins of a recruit one. So like she's clearly like, so she's kind of like talking to the bartender who's maybe like a younger guy who kind of like, she like vibes off and says like, okay, so like maybe he'll respect that energy. So she kind of leans over and she's like, hey, like what, who's in charge here?

And like, what do I need to do to get noticed? Like, give some like really like eager, like, ask us, ask us and bootleking energy. Like what, like, how do I get the teachers to like me sort of thing? Okay.

Romie a charm check. That's the thing that I really have to coercion and not charm. Yeah. I mean, coercion is great, but you're trying to be nice.

Yeah. I'm assuming this doesn't count as polite society. No, it's a bunch of pirates to advantage. Do you have a portion of coercion?

Coercion is going to be two and then cunning is three. Okay. So charm is based off position, right? P and now it's presence, which is also three.

So you rolled one, a little too more green and then also a little purple in addition to. So that's three success to advantage, one disadvantage and one fail. Okay. So you've got a net, what to success and one advantage?

Correct. So, and you would know that a bartender, he's not the lowest of the ranks, you know, but he's on the lower end. He knows everybody though. Yeah.

He's the connector. He's not making decisions, but if someone's being really, you know, really, he can get the bartender. He can get someone to kick him out. If someone is nice, he knows the names of the guys in charge.

So, and you're being nice to him and he gets it. So you're asking him for who don't need to get to what he can do to talk to him. And he sort of leans in real close and quietly says, well, uh, so here in town, we've got the, the lady in charge is a. Leah, can it?

So like, uh, Hera kind of leans over and is like, Leah, huh? So like, is she, is she in right now or she, uh, she is, there was an issue. She really, she sent some, some men out to go deal with it. So she's kind of, she's kind of, she's kind of strong up.

Um, if you waited there, she might be chill out of it. Cause right now she, you know, she's, you know, she's right up. I mean, she, you know, yeah, Hera kind of like leans in and is like, okay, all right. So like, wow, like, so she like angry a lot or like is this, that must be so scary.

Like, wow. And she just kind of like leans on like flirts a little bit like this must be such an exciting place for like, you have someone else. Like, you have someone like so important kind of thing. Yeah, it's, it's kind of violent and when there's stuff going down and she's not in complete control, she, the way she takes control is by punching people and sometimes it involves a knife.

Do you know what happened? Like, was, or like any specifics about some. So this, this hope of course, Dan and said, and he was just screaming about this guy that broke into a factory. I don't know what factory, but some broken and I guess it's important to, you know, the management came down, management came down and sent us, you know, a swad.

Do you have a lot of management in right now or do they kind of go off and do their own jobs? And you would know that management is not the best term. He's calling it that. Yeah.

He's like a bartender, but like, you know, it's like officers, you know, because they don't call themselves pirates. They treat it like a business. They're working towards this goal. So you would know that and he knows that.

But it's just like thing where you're both talking around casually. Yeah. Well, there's, I mean, Leah is the one in charge, but you know, we've usually got, they're between five and 10 officers with, you know, they get their guys some, you know, some smaller group, some bigger ones. Sometimes, you know, sometimes the ship comes in and then we got a lot more guys in town, but they don't, they'll stay for long.

No, no, no ships are docked right now. So it's so like main office that you kind of like using the same. So like head office doesn't come here very often or like the main, like upper level officers or is it just kind of like, I mean, middle rank below. The officers come here, you know, now, and it's mostly a bunch of a bunch of, well, you know, recruits, like, you know, like you, a lot of people ready, but officers, you know, come through here and there.

And I mean, the big way comes here once a while, but it's been a while since we've seen any of them. So she kind of like leans over like even more like, can I let you want a secret? Like, first of all, what's your name? And she like kind of like puts like, puts her hand out on the bar.

I'm Alden. Well, hi Alden Alden. Alden perfect. Hi Alden.

I'm Hera. Can I let you one? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So like, can I let you in on a secret?

Like, my friend and I and that kid, like, we're in town. We, you know, we're recruits from like another city, but we're really hoping to make it big here. So, you know, I think you're going to, like, you know, we're the next big thing that's going to happen, you know. So, you know, anything that you could give us as far as information, you know, I really wouldn't want to get on Leah's bad side, you know, so I'd really appreciate it, you know, anything you can do to get us in with Leah.

That would be great. Like, really appreciate it. Like, you know, put this hand on his chin. He's like looking down and like he's trying to figure something out and I need you to make another one of those checks make the difficulty to purple.

Except I'm at the odds in terms of those. I know. I want to take one of those as well. Okay.

And what I want to do is lean even so like, I lean and I, so I'm already like really close to the bar. And what I do is I kind of pull my coat, like, subtly kind of pull my coat back so that you can see like the the hilt of my knife and then a little bit of the holster. Like, there's nothing in it, but like just enough to like, he doesn't know that. So just kind of like pull a little bit and then just put so far she's been really charming.

But what she's going to do is kind of turn that subtly and it's like, you know, I would hate for you to get caught in any sort of crossfire. I mean, new people, new situations should have it. You know what I mean? And like, there's just like this level of like threat to it.

That like, you know, clearly this is not a, not anybody who's made it very far. And so I think she thinks she can kind of bully her way. Okay. Cool.

Yeah. I'll let you squish it. So what's your rings in that? To coercion.

And then that's based on willpower, which is to. Okay. So that means it's gonna be too yellow. And we're using the story point to, okay.

So then also, all that plus the red and the purple. Okay. So two failures with two successes. So those nullify each other out and then a bit so straight neutral.

So it's a full wash, which means you did fail the check. With nothing. So it looks like you want to see like, I know that you're, you know, fresh and you want to get into it, but I just can't forge in on Leah right now. It's too.

Someone someone can get hurt. I don't want it to be me. So I can't. You can wait here for her or you could try to get one of the officers maybe go up and she's like, Alden, I totally understand that that that makes, you know, you don't want to get in the middle of stuff.

Alden? And I think she's trying to see like how connected he is or like what his upbringing is to see if she can use proper upbringing to like. Con him into thinking that she's like an upright person. And I think he's really confused by this like sudden turn.

Like is it, it was very nice. And then it suddenly got threatening and then it's like flip, clap on itself. And you. So I think he's like, I roll me, roll me one more back to the charm check.

And two purple and then the two or three green. Yeah. So that is one success and one advantage and one disadvantage. So you have one success overall.

So it looks at you and he's like, I just, I just grew up in town. I'm just a. I know a street kid that got picked up by the, you know, like the guild here and they, you know, they help me out. So I joined them and I'm no fighter.

So they like, you know, raise his hands. I, you know, run the bar and people are in, you know. And then so she, she looks back at salt, who I assume is like sitting there looking angry and threatening. I think of that.

We pan over to salt and to flip and flop. I guess really, what are you, what are you like in this? You're in the most. I'm hyper vigilant.

I'm like, gun in pocket ready to go. My hand has not left my road. My pistol because that's, that's my gun. And it's said in gun mode.

It is said in gun mode. Because like, right, well, the way I modified it is the switch is on the thumb. So I can shoot, flip the switch and immediately go over to brass knuckles. Someone gets too close, but I've got it.

Like it's, it's still holstered. It's not like an unclip right here, but I'm, I'm at it. It's my security. You're right now.

Okay. You know, she's been up there a while. So I was thinking too, she must be getting a lot of information. I don't think I agree.

Oh, I'm going to go order some, some drinks. Can I trust you there? Of course. Don't make me regret this.

And it gets up and slaps him on the head for a good measure, you know, keep the blend in. Oh, I'm a recruit. Makes it makes it, makes it lay over. And then everybody laughs.

Ah, fucking recruits. You guys. Walk up to the bar. I'm like, uh, another stout and apple juice was softy over there.

Oh, sure. He, you know, he interrupts the conversation with you where he's talking about, you know, being recruited. And then he pulls out two glasses and starts pouring. Yeah, he takes it with a stat.

I'm like, you got, got anything else? A lot stronger. It was like, he's looking kind of like the top right, top left corner of the bar. Yeah, we got, yeah, plenty of high-end stuff.

You got the, you got coin. How badly talking? I mean, very top-end. I don't renew five coins a shot.

Yeah, let's try it. Yeah, go ahead. So while he's going to go get it back, you doing. And then Hera is not willing to admit that like anything other than not fine.

So she's like, great. But I need more time and I need you to go maybe look threatening. He isn't willing to like just give her up. All I got is that the leader currently in her name is Leah and she's pissed.

I think something like. Who was that Tom? Tom guy? Tom Radcliffe?

Was that a guy we need to talk about? I don't think he was important enough that I think he was just sent out. So I think we're basically all I know is Leah is in charge and she's in and she's pissed. So we need to figure out how we're going to get into see her.

There's no way like we're in a bar full of like, you know, foot soldiers, basically. So there's no way we're going to sneak in. All right. All right.

Okay, I'll sit back over there and I'll shoot. Yeah, I'll shoot. Steely eyes at the bartender. Not look away.

I'll signal you if we need to go to plan B. Plan B. Plan B is not good. We're not going to plan B, but just in case.

He puts down the shot and like slides it over. Give us a second one for my friend here. Okay. I need, you know, he goes back.

Because he put it away to the expense of stuff. He put it back, goes to the top and turns it. All right. Now much I owe your friend.

Her. And like she just kind of pat him on the arm. But he's so sweet. Such a great friend and like pushes him away a little bit.

You know, finishes the rest of the entire time. Just keeping his gaze at Alden. You know, it takes the first two drinks. So like I'll be over at the table.

Yeah. So then she just kind of laughs it off and is like, Oh, oh, Alden, that's my friend. He's so funny. Am I right?

And then so she's so kind of like, he's his like intimidation factor is going to give you an advice. I'm going to be able to get an advice on next. But before that happens, I want you to roll me a hundred. Shiny gold.

So 26 is fairly low. So at that point, the door behind you, we just came in. Bard like it's knocked open. And then you guys turn and you see Tom.

Oh, shit. Tom runs inside. And like, you know, he runs past everyone. But what do you guys do before?

Like he's just an everyone sees him. I adore Slamp. No. Yeah.

What do you guys do? So like, so basic hair is in the middle of it. So anyway, Alden, as I was saying, and she's so she's, she's, she's going to try and flip again and, you know, nice versus, you know, confuse him a little bit. See if she can get anything out of him.

So listen, Alden and then like, yeah, everything happens at the old time and she looks and she like catches salt eyes from across the room and like they both at the same time, like halfway back to the table. Are like fuck. Uh, and then she just looks at him and she makes a quick calculation. How close am I to her strength is analytical?

Uh, she, she kind of calculates the odds and she's like, fucking hell, plan B. And she just like yells plan B and like pulls Alden over the bar and like puts her, pulls her knife out and puts it to his throat. Okay. Well, too fucking late for my idea.

I was running how close I was because, uh, I wanted to pick them both up. I'll be like, you dumbass, don't you know, you don't run dogs like this, like to jump on you. Fuckin idiot. Besides that kid knows how to build these things, but do it for that.

So do you like in the midst of like going to grab them when she yells plan B? You like walking up to them, you hear plan B, you turn and see, you know, Alden with a knife and he's freaking like, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, so I grabbed the nearest like bottle of booze and just randomly fucking chuck it, see if he can get a bar brawl started. Yeah. Try to like just make just massive stereo so we can get the fuck out of here.

So she, she, she, uh, Hera like takes Alden, yanks him up on top of the bar and like gets up like half standing on the bar, half standing on a chair and she shouts. And she's like everybody quiet. And then, and then she just, she, she waits and like poor Alden is like, I think crying a little bit like freaked out. And I think she's so she's going to say, okay.

So let's uh, for this, whatever this speech is, roll me a leadership check. They're essentially the control of a crowd. So that is based on your presence. Perfect.

That's T.L. is in green. Well, what's your leadership, right? Uh, leadership is, uh, non, but it's present for just three.

So it's gonna be three greens. And then roll me, um, probably one of this crowd probably 10 to 20. So it'd be two girls. It was more, the big crowd of the harder check.

So what that turns into is you failed, but you haven't managed. So what does this advantage look like? You tried to control the crowd and you failed at that but what you gained. So I think I paused the bar fight.

Like security is aware, but like everybody's looking at me and not. And like they notice that like I'm like the one with leverage at this point.

Okay. And I think they're gonna be paying attention if not like completely silent. Okay. Um, and this is after you've thrown your after I thrown him like people started.

People started getting stuck in tables breaking chairs. And then what is it that you said you kind of got their attention. They hear you, but you don't have their control that you've got their attention. So yeah, so she's got poor all then and she's like, yeah, up by the throat.

And she's like, and he's just like gas. Yeah, yeah, you know, because you're probably holding him too tight because you're you're on edge. Right. Yeah.

So he can barely breathe. Yeah. So so she just kind of like shouts over the noise like my friends and I. And she like just looks at flip like fucking idiot.

Are you still holding wrench in the air? Yes. I think it's kind of made way back to smack. Yeah.

Nobody laughs this time. Uh, so my friend and I have a couple of questions for Leah. Somebody should go get Leah so that we can ask her those questions. Yes.

And she kind of like looks to the person who's closest. I think there's like a backdoor. Yeah. Yeah.

To like the office. Yeah. Yeah. And so she just kind of like looks at what like some the foot soldier under like who's closest.

She's like, I think everybody here could do us a nice like calm chat. Yeah. Let's make this happen. And she just kind of like pulls all the back and like cuts into his throat a little bit like.

I would hate for this to turn sour. Yeah. So I think two of the recruits together go into the door downstairs and she kind of looks at salt and she's like like motion like I don't know like thinking thoughts at him to kind of like pull flip and. Hostage now, I guess like pull them back towards the bar so we can like have something in our back when this goes to shit and people start trying to kill us.

Salt picks up on it. So grabs the boy like, come on. You fucking idiot. Grab him.

Pick up Tom because we're gonna take Tom with. He's in this now. You know, I'm like flop. No, we start dragging him over to the bars already to go down into this.

And flop's definitely like he's on edge. He doesn't know what's going on. I'm safe. Our wife's.

You cost this shit. This is a dumb shit. I was talking about this. You cost this shit.

You want this guy live? Technically, she did. But we're not going to talk about that. We're up to me.

Be in the ocean. Be eating my fish right now. Shut your ass. Like like takes like like body and just like like smacks his shoes like up against the bar.

Like she's like holding him up while he's choking. And then she just like like knocks him into like salt like fucking both of you knock it off. And like she looks at what this is your fault. This is your fault to be clear.

This is all your fault. Shut up and let me think about how we're going to get the fuck out of this and like we just like over the bickering like it just starts. And at this point like. Our bacon was on the fryer and I pulled it off.

Like this is the bartender. Like the guy with the booze. So some time goes by. Do you do anything during this to try to control the crowd at all or are you guys just big break?

Because like you're starting to realize is this argument is happening that the people are like like a realizing that they have more guns and like what do you do? Because you're realizing that you've lost information. Yeah. I just yell.

You know we've got him here. That means the top shelf stuff is technically unguarded. Have at it. It's like a work yeah.

So the advantages are not out. You have three successes in an advantage. So you do successfully do this. And then what's your advantage with like.

So as I have told him on like the top shelf, which is free. So he can't get it. And they, you know, weapons away. They're right in the bar.

So shut up. And then we start making our way from the throng of angry alcoholics. So do you move away from the bar to like a corner or something? I think we're going to try to get closer to that door.

Wherever that is compared to where the bars are. Yeah. So like if the one end like the bars in the middle that makes it big circle. So the entrance is on one side and the door to go downstairs on the other side.

So you're moving away from your exit to do that. But then you can get away from the massive people that are just swiping. Yeah. Yeah.

So we're in this fire. We need to get down to that door and see Leah. Okay. So you guys head to the door.

And then roll me another D100. I would see how long it takes to be able to come back. I should make the door make open now or you guys may have to go down. Is that seven or 70?

What's the 10? So you got really low, which means you got time. So you guys go to like break down the door or you guys get to the door. They're going crazy at the bar.

What do you do? What's the door made of? It's a window. I mean, it's got like steel frames, but like the door is locked.

Is it? You can check it. So Salt has this amusing idea because you know, fuck it. She grabs this.

It just takes it, opens it up. Flop. Can you knock that door down? It's a drink of the bottle.

No, I just tell him to do it. And then I take a drink. You take a drink and have your dog. Okay.

So he like jumps up and starts doing like the metal claws into the door. Like metal and wood. You know, he just, you know, so roll me an attack roll with him with no purple ice. So we got against the two yellow green.

You want a brawl? Yeah. Yeah. You got it.

One success to success. Three success and two a day. Nice. So yeah, that the door is just like ripped to shreds.

Like he basically makes a big circle. It looks like a dog. Dig a hole in the yard except the hole in the door. And yeah, he just starts ripping it, ripping it, ripping it.

And you guys see, he just goes into this like dark hole. Like, it's like five feet or so. It's like five feet or so. Then just goes to stay or sit down and it's empty.

So I'm going to go first, but I'm going to put our dear friend Tom in front of me. So like, I got him through. But as we're going through, I got my roto pistol out on his shoulder. So worst comes the worst if he starts fucking around.

I'm going to shoot it right next to his ear. Definitely. I am. I am not nice to this guy because I am on edge.

I am pissed off. We didn't get out of this quietly. So I'm taking it out on Tom. And I think when you show up and he probably like scratches his leg on the because it's not cleanly.

Oh, absolutely. So he's not in control. You show up and he starts so many sminters. He was already pretty injured.

He takes on the wound. I yell at Flip to go in front of me. I'm going in front of you. I was going to do that anyway.

You don't even have to tell me to do that. Where to God? I am going to kill you when we get out of this. And then so she takes, she kind of lets him go in front and then flop goes and then she kind of takes up the rear.

And then like, while every, like the chaos of the bar, she kind of like, like walks down the stairs and tries to like see, you know, if they can relatively un, like, un assaulted, get down to the basement. Un fuck this situation. So you guys go in one time and you make your way in. So it's called and still crying.

Then flip, then flop, then you'll end with all that. Okay. So here's the last one in and salt. Since you're leading, do you go to the stairs and like, you know, like, what does this look like?

So I have Tom on front of me. He's whimpering, you know, it gets on my nerves, like flack him upside down with my gun, like, shut up. He's a rock. Salt is on edge.

You can smell the peak is obviously, fear. So, you know, and so like he's got him out front. He's pushing him down the stairs, you know, just enough to keep one or two steps in front of him because if there's going to be shots, kind of down this hallway or down the stairwell that we're coming down, he's taking him first. You know, I've gotten a love for the brass guild and like I said, I'm already on edge.

I don't know what's coming. I'm pissed off that this has gone so south. So you know, taking it down. And as I get down there, I look down.

Do I see anything? So the stairwell goes down a flight and there is a door there, but there's also another flight that goes deeper down. So there's at least two levels to this. So you're at the stairwell and you can see like essentially it's stairwell stairwell and that's the second floor stairwell and that's the.

So you're at the base of that first area where you can see that there's more stairs to go down and then you can see the door. So I see the door. You'll back to here. Here we got more stairs and a door in front of us.
