Tidefall E5 (2/3)

from Des Moines and Dragons · host Paul Privitera

Our adventurers started in a tense situation and someone important in the Brass Guild heard things they shouldn't have. But again, thanks to some quick thinking from Flip aka Paige the Page, they avoided another bar fight. The crew goes to the docks to find out where The Tortoise is, or how to get there. The heroes pretend to be a loving family to get info from the harbormaster. After finding the ship that can take them to The Tortoise, they ran into the Brass Guild again, manning their vessel. Salt decides to take them to the bar so that Hera and Flip can "work" on the ship. While Salt gets drunk with Pirates, Hera and Flip capture a one of them and plan an ambush. Flip left to get Salt but noticed pirates heading to the ship. He ignored them to get our Drunk boy back. Hera plans an ambush and holds off the guild members for as long as she can. Eventually Flip drags Salt back to the ship to join the fight. Things seemed to be going well, but they were unable to finish off Pirate Joe before alarms started going off. Guards incoming. What will happen next? Find out, now. Oh, the shoulder hurt. Yeah, just like Phantom. Just Phantom Pain in your shoulder. And we're back to part two of episode five.

Currently, what is that called? It's not Phantom Pain, because Phantom Pain's like, you lost a limb, but like pain from your. Like, sympathetic, fictional character. Like, yeah, yeah, I think it's like, sympathetic pain, whereas your brain is.

I can feel it. No, it's gross. Don't wanna do that, probably. Okay, so I have a short number, whose turn was it?

I just wanna just finish up. You just first play your turn, I think. So now it's the second player turn. Is it you going?

I would recommend it. Is it salt? We're punching it, buddy. Okay, so I guess the question is, so I'm just hanging midair, correct?

Well, no, you landed, you talked about the rafters. So you landed on those rafters below. You're attached to the guard above you, and the ship is like, probably like, slowly and shrink forward, it hasn't engines are still revving up, but it is in the process of moving. So you have this turn, basically.

If you don't get on this turn, you will have to make a very hard jump, because it will have started to take off. Second to my question is, side of the ship, is there anything I can see as far as like, footholds or. So it's essentially think like a big airship, right? Yeah, yeah.

But then on various points for maintenance purposes, they've got levels, kind of like what you're standing on. So it's just this like metal area where you can stand on it to do various work, because when a ship is out for weeks on end, you need to be able to maintain the outside of the ship, because of the first up here, so because you know, a bird hits it, you need to be able to fix it before the ship goes down. Yeah. So birds are dangerous.

We've not talked about how dangerous birds are. It's dangerous. Yeah, they're bad. Birds and, yeah, birds and weather.

Because like, yeah, there was a storm that was like just about to hit us. The real villains are hopeful. While this was all going on. So like, as soon as we get out there, we're gonna have to like duck underneath the boat to like not drown.

Yeah. Oh, I forgot there was a storm. Oh, yeah, yeah. Thank you for reminding me.

Yeah, thanks for reminding me. Well, I mean, there's dramatic tension. So like as soon as we get out there, we're gonna have to like park it and not get, I don't know, start by lightning. Right, so you're gonna pull off the thing, I assume?

Oh, yeah. I mean, because you could, yeah, that's the thing you could do. It was like, part of me kind of wants to make, kind of wants to make the jump, kind of like Luke Skywalker and Empire where he's falling towards the Falcon. I mean, the other option is you jump onto the ship, attached to the guard.

I thought about that too, because I'm pissed off. But he could pull me off at the same time. So I think what I'm gonna do. And you found the weakness.

So it'd be easier for you to take it off now. So I think I'm gonna do, it's like, I gotta get rid of it. You know, I feel like I'm still drunk, but it's starting to notice the adrenaline. So we're not a little bit.

How about this? It's been some time. Only a resilience check. Let's see if you've sobered up in all this fight.

All right, so I'm doing a lot. And you're finally going like, I'm alone. I need to solve this. And like there's that moment of clarity when you're drunk that you may be able to solve it a bit.

You're still be tipsy. If you're on a difficulty two resilience check, you will get rid of the drunk. Okay, so that'd be too purple. So resilience, I have one rank and three and bronze.

So two and one. Two green, yep. Cool. Let's see if we can get rid of the drunk.

Do you wanna upgrade this and spend your last three point? On sobriety check. Nah. I've gone this far, just shit face.

All right, we're looking at three disadvantage. One failure, one success and four advantage for an overall of one advantage. So, yeah. We just took all of our good roles early.

So you have one advantage. So what does that one advantage look like? As you're like, it's trying to sober up. You don't sober up.

No, no, no, naturally no. So, here's some stress like, just keep moving first. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.

Get the strain back. Yeah, you get to lay out the land sort of thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like figure my trajectory.

Oh my God. You're not upset about Alan. Now you're kind of revering Alan. Like, yeah, he won't do.

What Alan do? What would he do? Okay, so I think next, I gotta rip this out. I'll rip this some bitch out.

Okay, so it's super purple. Super purple. Okay. It's just gonna be a lot of athletics check.

Athletics checker. So that's one. So you're gonna get to black from being drunk. You're green one yellow.

And then you get too blue because you know how this shit works. But you have three green and yellow in there. Oh, where'd he come from? There's someone through the hand.

Cool. Okay. It was me. He's drunk.

Don't worry. He messed up. Okay, here we go. Are we gonna rip this shit out?

This is an important role. All right. Okay. That's one, two, two accessories.

Oh man, that's a bad role. That's four failures. Two successes. One, two, three, four failures.

We have a net, four, two, two failures. We have one, two, three, four advantage and one disadvantage for a net, three advantage and you failed. So what does that really hard? So that's a three advantage do.

So, man, you have a lot of dice there. Sorry, my life. Black ones don't work. So I think the advantage is like it's gotten looser.

A little bit, but it's still there. Flesh tendril. Still there. But I'm just trying to think.

I think I've just loosened it. Okay. And maybe that maybe because it's loose. It's already pretty.

Like it's already loose. I think what it is is you've actually got some slack in it now. Don't give you another blue dice on the next check you're making to jump onto and then grab this shit. Is it like it's still attached to you?

He's essentially attached but he doesn't have full control of your chest. He's got like a little bit of tug. Right. So it's like, you know, still a girl.

It's like, you can't like. Yeah. And honestly, in another good poll, and on another one of those athletics checks he may just whip a chunk of your skin out and then free because it's really loose and you've been working with this and you've pulled about a lot of it and it's been pulled more than you normally would pull this and most of the time they would have to, they would run up to the guy and, you know, knock him down and just like them. But because you're, well, salt, you've been resilient.

So you've got another blue for your next check and you see these various railings. What do you do? So I think he says, like he's having them up like fuck, just like the Himalayas. And I think he's just going to go for it.

Do you like flashback to where you're like jumping from like one cliff to the middle of the Himalayas? Yes. Just an ice crevasse opening up. You pitch this in your head and you're like perfectly jumping and landing and you look really cool and then it comes back out and it's just like drunk, salt, bloody, like ripped shirt and it's just, you know, it fades into like you not at your front.

Like it flashes back. Like the second part of that memory is like Alan's there to catch my ass because like that, the later part of that memory is like I definitely fucked up because it's like really early in his like FEB job sort of thing. Younger cleaner. It's like new.

It's like cotton. He's just like fucking shit. So yeah, I think he's just going to go for it and he's like, gills up. Good luck, fuckers.

And off he goes. Okay. Yeah. Roll me a, uh, that's whoever the cops you to.

It's to everybody. Right. Roll me a coordination check. Coordination check.

So that got one rank there with three agility. So June, very good. One yellow. And now you get black guys are being drunk, you get blue dice because of your last check.

Um, and I think do you look down? Nope. No. I'm not really black, but you know it's something that may happen.

If I have help, I think the back is like, you two got to figure out, please fuckers. You know, make it up to me. If I don't get out of here, here we go. Okay.

Oh, he didn't really purples with that. Oh, yes. Roll to my purple block. This is a bad guy.

Or bad role. Or we do it. Uh, I'll let you either take it or roll the whole thing. I'm going to redo it.

It's more fair that way. Yeah. I believe you have to say yeah. Super cool.

All right. All right. Here we go. This could be salt season finale.

Okay. Oh, yeah. Two advantage to disadvantage. So you have a net one failure.

Good. So can we have the triumph that I got with persuading Joe, get him down to the bottom of the ship so he can catch salt and we have a story point. That's the story. Yeah.

Can I use a story point for that? You already have the triumph. I'll say you miss the first landing. Okay.

But there's like three or four of these. And I think what happens is is you're falling towards, you missed the first one in your head. You flash back to like, oh yeah, I needed Alan to grab me and you're like, and then you see on the last landing before you're off the ship singing the real season. You see a small window and you see something behind it.

The door gets knocked open and then Joe runs out to grab your hand and I'm going to have I'm going to have he's going to make a check. Oh no. The fact that he's there is kind of a bullshit, but you did see get that check. You you double crit on him.

So he's going to have to make this coordination check double. He's fucking ridiculous. You double crit that. Yeah.

So coordination on a street banger. The agility, right? Yeah. Okay.

He doesn't have training and it's he's rolling to green dice. Good. And a blue because he believes is the chosen one, right? I mean, he's been yeah, I'm giving him a blue because I'm giving him more because he's being helped by him because he's got this in the past.

But yes, he does. I'm going to upgrade one of his green and two yellow. Okay. I'm going to activate my special ability to get one of those damn things back with the story points.

Okay, makes sense. Okay. So you're like ready for anything? So for those if you keep in track of home, Jeff has three of the players have one.

Yep, I have a lot. I mean, I'm trying to be nice, but it's going so bad. It's going so bad. Okay, so we got a green, a yellow of blue and two purples.

So that's what in the world. I'm okay. So we have, sorry, everything quiet. We got two successes.

We got two failures. So those know out. We have one, two, three, four advantage, one disadvantage. So we have three net advantage.

So I think there's a lot of advantage there. So I think what's going to happen is you fall. You like reach out and like you like, oh, he's my Allen. He'll save me and then he misses you.

Right. I think because like he got the bloody hands. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.

And then two things happen. One, you're falling and then you suddenly go taught as he spends all this advantage to grab the rope. And all of that is going into your chest. Good.

So take three points of damaging oring your run. It's like rips into you and then it rips free. So you need to, well, you're now like there's a moment where like pulls into like it rips at you, it falls and you realize that you are now free falling. What do you do?

So I guess I'm going to assume you grab like that's going to be like just instinct takes over and just grab the land. One more coordination check. This is where this is the end of so I can't there's been three of those. Bullshit anymore.

You get to purple whenever your coordinate is. One rank. So it's one yellow and a green. Did you spend that last.

Oh, no, I took it back. I took it back. I took it back. You want to spend it again?

Nope. We're going to play this straight. Okay. If the number is up for solve and numbers up for solve.

You're falling in the ocean. Like there's you're falling in the ocean. That doesn't happen and you're decently far out. So God damn it.

So we got two failures, two successes, one disadvantage and three advantage with overall of two advantage. Okay. I have never seen the double fail come up so hard on the perfals. There's only it's a D eight.

There's one of those on this dice and we can't. So it's throw that dice out. This is what you get for one of those crits at the beginning. Yeah, it's bouncing.

I don't really get that. That's why that died. It killed salt. It goes there.

So salt, my drug boy. You fall and fall and fall and fall and fall and fall into the ocean. So we'll deal with that later. That's the end of your turn.

Metaphorically. Yeah. So that was the second player turn. Right?

Yes. So the guards, these are the guards. So the first was the guards on you know, the guards attacked him. So now the other ones are the guards on you.

I think what they do is they start. But he's already on the boat, right? He's in the boat. Yes.

It was the guards on the game point. They are going to run up the gangplank towards you guys. And when he does that, flop. Guard dog flop is ready to fend them off.

Yeah. Somebody's got a fucking roll. So that's going to save us. So have flop, does he have any sort of like intimidation skills or does he just attack them?

He's a badass giant dog. He doesn't have any intimidation skills. Okay. So I think he just bites at them.

Basically he's at the lip of the gangplank. He's standing there. He holds them. He stands on the edge of the gangplank and attacks one of them.

So roll me that attack because he does that. You don't even have to do that. He does that. Okay.

So two purple because of the melee attack. I just want to see what he does. Okay. So that's three successes against one failure.

He hits. He does one bonus damage. And then the two advantage and the two threat will wash out. Okay.

So sorry, three successes versus one failure. Yeah. So that's two successes. So what's this damage?

I'm doing a, oh, okay. So I guess I'll just do a regular attack. So it's six. Okay.

So it's six and then because you have an extra success it turns into seven damage against their brawn is what the brawn is that so he's he calls it one of them and doesn't damage to them. And then they are. So that's a pin. I'm not using a pin.

That would be horrible. So he does two damage to one of them. So one of these guys is getting pretty busted up. But there's, you know, there's still both there, but he holds them at bay.

And then I think the one that doesn't get hit actually I'm a roll to see which one guard attacks him if it's odds, it's the spear, if it's evens, it's the grabber. So the grabber guy grabs at flop. So he does this purple. I need a purple because he's run out.

No, he's the bad one. Use the bad one. I mean, I'll use the bad one if you want. No, the bad one will be bad for us.

Okay, well, this will be where we find out. Let's do a quick cleansing. I'll get some roll it first. We know that and that so success success.

Success. So we got three successes. He got two failures. So it's a net one success to disadvantage to advantage.

So he had a net one success. So he hits flop and then it like grabs onto his shoulder. And there's a massive like role of thunder and like four inches down and just explodes him for his terrible sins. It just it's just there's thunder in the background, but not in the foreground.

No one's getting stuck by lightning yet. You would need to roll like two or three cuts for that to happen. The gods the word to like. Yeah.

And that is the guards turn. So last player turn who hasn't gone here? Yeah, that'd be me. Am I in grabbing distance to any of the guards?

It's kind of you. You are on the ship. It's depends on how close you want to be to a gangplank. If you want to be on the weekend, if you want to hang back and take shots, you can.

So I saw the fucking grenade in my hand for all that it did me. So I'm going to. All right. So I the big thing is like we need to fucking go.

So can I like kick like what is this 300 like 300 kick one like off the gangplank and just like shove the grenade and the other ones hand and explode them off and the McGranade. Just like how dramatic can I. I would you okay so you can mechanically I know you can kick one of them. You can spend a maneuver to like put it in his pocket or something or do you get some.

Sky room reverse pick pocket. Exactly. Yeah. That'd be a maneuver.

The question is how are you going to kick the second one? I will let you know here. Okay. So here's what I'm going to do.

I'm going to. Because also one of them is currently attached to flop. Yeah. So I so here's what happens.

I saw fl salt go over the side and I have no idea what happened other than I saw in the office. I saw him go off the side. So that's that sucks. So basically it's a fuck this moment.

So here I throws the grenade over the head of the guards. Like you know who the fuck knows where it's going to land but hopefully it's enough to distract them. She's going to kick one and see if it's enough to like just kick them off and then hopefully she can like pull up the gun on like from behind her and then smash the other one on the face. And hopefully that's enough.

I think that's the three. Okay. I don't remember. So like does well I mean the big thing is just throwing it count as a so an action or maneuver.

So it's an attack to use the grenade and then attack to kick him. What I'll say you can take an extra maneuver for two strain. I will let you I'll take whatever I'll let you for four strain to make a second attack because you're in this weird position where you already have the weapon out and you're attacked with a weapon and then your foot essentially so you can take four strain take a second attack. You couldn't do that to make like extra gun attack but since you've got the grenade and you're using like a foot to get back guns at this point I'm just yeah I'll let you do that.

So the first thing you're doing is the kick. Yeah. Okay. So roll me that.

I don't have any bronze so that's going to be so it's just too bronze so. So to to green. Yeah. We've got all the greens right here.

There's another one. Okay. So to purple to green. Yep.

You just very nonchalantly through those dice. I just. Well I think you're their cursed anyway. So we've got one success or no we've got two failures a disadvantage and a success.

So the advantage and all out the two failures beat out the one success. So you try to kick this guy and fail. What do you do next? I'm going to try and like so kick doesn't work which I feel like that's not a good idea anyway.

I'm going to try and punch him in the face. You're not doing the grenade thing? Oh I do. I still have the grenade.

Oh well okay. So I shove it in his hand then. Can I confuse him to death? Oh so are you just putting it on him or are you throwing it somewhere?

I'm just going to like grab his hand put it in his hand and see if he panics and blows it all up. Okay so that would be a maneuver instead of a strain. So take two of your stress back because what I'm assuming you're going to do is one you're going to put your need on his person in some way and then you run away to let the grenade explode. I mean it's still going to be on our ship so it's not a good idea.

It's on the edge of your ship yes but then you would want to move away. Alright. I'm going to grab the dog's tail. Oh god though.

Can I yell for flop? You can because flop goes on his turn and this is the second player action. So what I'll let you do if you want to drag flop a little extra make nothing like a check when you move to try to just pull him away but currently he's attached to the guards that's going to be a hard check. But I will let you do that.

HP does he have? How much damage is the grenade do? I don't have it pulled up. You looked at him.

More than we have. Yeah it's a number. I believe it's eight. And I don't have any more coercion or what is his brawn again?

He's got a soak of four. Okay so in theory if you were to eat damage to him it would not kill him. It would hurt like a motherfucker but it shouldn't kill him. It would hurt like a motherfucker.

I'm not going to blow with a dog. You know what? You know what? I mean if you really want you could just do what he's doing.

Stand rear at. Keep him off the ship and then let the ship drive off. No no. Here's what it is.

Here's what Hera does. Hera puts her hands up. Hera puts her hands up and like puts one knee like goes to her knees on the front of the ship. Her gives up.

That's what happens. So she kicks him once. Tries to make that work and then she backs up and says fine. Okay.

So it matters. The clockwork grenades. The pin is still pulled. It does eight damage.

It's got short range. It does a blast of five which means if you hit one person that is eight damage to them. Everyone else around it takes five. And then it also does burn which means the person you hit catches on fire.

Right. So I'm just sitting here with a grenade. Like I hear it kind of goes like she backs up and she's like. That's fine.

I give up. And so she's just like holding her hands up with a grenade. And yeah, it's kind of like she's not actively like looking like threateningly at it. But she's like, okay, like we're kind of at a standstill here.

Because I think seeing salt go overboard kind of like. A little bit of it because it's like, you know, you know, at least one of us is possibly dead. If not, you know, who the fuck knows this point. So yeah, I think she gives up.

I think that's her turn. Okay. So yeah, she tries to kick fails. Just say back and holds the grenade and you're like, you go in your knees.

Okay. So it is guard's turn. I think. Yeah.

What's he going to do? So yeah, I think the guards that are on you. I think what he does is he the one that has the savvy spear. He flips it into like grapple spear.

And then he just walks up to you. And if you've presented yourself, he just like attaches it to probably like your upper chest. I think he just like walks up to you and like sticks it on you just to make sure you don't do anything too funny. So you're like grabbed by him.

The other one. Okay. So he does that. But when he walks by does flop try to keep him from getting on the ship because here it clearly gave up.

But I'm not sure how. But you guys can specialize. Exactly. Yeah.

How does flop realize what's happening or does he does he stay in guard mode? Because if you still in guard mode, he's still going to defend that thing. But I think also you as a flop. I think I think Flop has been with these people long enough.

He takes the cue from Hera and lies down. Okay. So when she lays down, he lays down and I don't cheat meals. He lays down.

The guard comes in, attaches the thing to you. The other guard sort of like still attached to flop sort of like walks in, but he keeps his eye on flop. So he doesn't leave his back to the dog. That's not my problem.

Yeah. You never turn your back to the criminals. So you just have these. The criminal dog element.

Well, I mean, yeah. I think the attack dogs are, you know, so these two guards are on your ship. That's their turn. They just, they've taken control of the situation.

They have control of the two of you. Now it is, there's two player turns. Who wants to go? Okay.

I punch it. Okay. What is, oh yeah, the. We're going to just, you know, ramp up the speed and fly.

Okay. Perfect. So I have no visibility into anything that's happening. Okay.

Just straight into a storm. Roll me a piling check. Oh God. Oh man.

This is such a let's make something bad worse. I'm a season finale. I'm tied for three in agility, which is really nice. I do too.

That's what I thought. There's going to be a black dice because you're driving into a storm. That's what you're trying to do. That's probably like eight more.

I think, well, no, yeah. Okay. So I'm going to get rid of that black dice because I have knack for it for piloting. Is that removed one or two?

That removes two. Oh, because I was going to say you're driving next to a ship, but it removes both black and so cool. So you remove both black and so from the storm, black and so from driving next to a ship. So you ignore both of those things.

Yeah. So just a regular piling check. Okay. I'm so happy for you.

Three advantage versus two threads. So that's one success one advantage. Okay. So what does that advantage mean for you?

So as we fly off at the same time that salt's falling and it maneuvers in a way that he can just fall into the ship. No. Easy. Unfortunately, no.

If we have a map or something, he can glance at that. It puts everybody. It puts the guards kind of on rough footing and gives them. Okay.

That's the first player turn. The next player turn. I'm going to choose Hara for this. Yeah.

You'll figure out a choice. Okay. So I still have the so they like the ship moves. And they so they're like off foot or they're they're moving.

So okay. So the ship moves the gangplank like falls down. Yeah. There's two guards on the deck.

Yeah. There's the two guards on the deck that they were essentially what you probably would see them. They're looking down because as far as they knew they were attached to salt and they looked down and I think it just zooms in on them and they just go. Oh shit.

As they see this guy falling down and you know they just are whispering. It's like what is that? Okay. So Harris is like suddenly like overcome with a like a fucking like a theory.

Like a rage of just like well this definitely didn't end the way I wanted it to. This morning I didn't think I would be in the situation. And she's like she wouldn't necessarily classify salt as a friend but like really you were in a bar with a dude talking about where the tortoise is. Right.

Yeah. So now this this did not go as expected. So Harris is you know so it's not a friend necessarily but like in this situation like they've been through some shit. So she's real quick salt you consider her to have friend.

I think it's it's it's one of those like he's very guarded about letting people close because of his like unfertold explorer issues but you know he does grow close. He does grow close with people that have proven their worth in primary situations. So I think that's why he does like these two because they do prove themselves when things hit the fan if he will. Okay.

They would never admit it but like they're getting there. So so here you're not friends with salt but what do you do? So here I'm going to avenge him. Here is going to avenge the fuck out of her like generally liked acquaintance.

So she just gets up and she real quick because this guy's attached to him. He's like you're gonna get this event you need a black doesn't do because he's taking control of the situation before you know that before you know that before. Oh no yeah. The drunkenness.

So she she gets up. Are we in combat still? I feel like we're not in combat. I feel like I gave up the combat.

I think they didn't disarm you though because they did. Well they took control all you had on you at the time was the grenade because they don't realize how quickly you can pull out your weapon and I think they thought it was over. I think we're still in combat time though. Right.

Okay. So mostly because I don't want to be rolling in shifts. That's fair. All right.

So I I immediately I pull the rifle back with one arm. So this is not going to like shooting this is going to go poorly like no matter what. But I pull. If you're trying to shoot with one hand with one hand.

You're gonna have a black guy. Which means you have two black. Oh horrible idea. But like the worst case scenario this is a heavy wood and metal like.

Yep. Object. So she pulls it out as quickly as she can and she does have quick draw which I don't know if she's used this thing. That you know as many as one.

Yeah. So she does she pulls it out like and she like backs. So she's standing up all of a sudden she's got like the the butt end of her rifle. I think when you stand up the guard he hasn't it's not you know it's still just like directly taps here.

Yeah. You're like you're standing and he's like it's like hey hey hey sit down close enough. You don't want this to turn badly and then you do what you do. And then so she she looks in the eyes like hey motherfucker here's still a grenade so like let's like let's cool it for a second and fucking talk about this before my friend just like dumps us all in the middle of the ocean like let's let's talk.

The ship wobbles a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. It's like right as the ship finally gets to full acceleration it's just like everything shakes.

And then like well I mean it's kind of fucked up because it's like anything I do how much is it so this grenade is going to do how much damage. So it's just to see what my. So it's eight damage to the person it hits. It's five damage to everyone else in within short range.

And then the person it hits catches on fire. But you have to make a role to hit it and because it's a grenade it's a bit different. And if you miss it can like go somewhere else. But right now everyone is in one bit so if you back up and then throw the grenade one to back up you need to make a check because he's attached to you.

So if you just stand in this middle throw the grenade at your guy it's going to hit him for eight and everyone else or five including you if you try to back up it'll hit him and everyone else there and it won't hit you if you then miss it's just going to go somewhere else and explode on deck. Cool. This sucks. All right here's what I'm going to do.

So the boat moves it kind of wobbles a little bit because we're letting a child drive. It wobbles a little bit I take it I whack the guy who's holding the the rope. And just rope up your rifle as well. I just whack it see if I can like get him to like move forward a little bit.

Okay. That's the first thing and then I'm just going to throw the grenade into the chest of the other guy. Assume that go out and it plays a ball. So is your goal with the rifle bat just to like try to disarm him just to get into closer combat so I can like take his like his.

Try to steal the spear from him. Yeah. Because right now it's not in rope mode it's still like directly attached to the spear literally right here in front of you. So if you want to just grab it and pull it and you don't even use a rifle that you can literally just make a lot of extra try to pull it away from him.

I'm imagining like like yeah but that works too. Because he's right because he hasn't thrown it because essentially when they throw it at the back of the spear is a rope that's attached to them. But he's right here he's right in front of you with the spear on you. So if you want to grab this and try to pull it away.

Yeah let's yeah grab it and pull it. Right. Visually describe it because yeah. So yeah.

I'm imagining. An audio medium. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Perfect.

I'm going to try and disarm him and go. I'm going to have a black dice because he's attached to you. Cause he's a dick. And it'll be against difficulty too.

So two burble. No, it'll be like this guy. So what's this guy's three bronze. He's rolling three green.

I'm doing a black. Oh wait. No, wait. Yeah.

So that's all yours and then I'm just doing an athletics. Okay. So that's two. So it's two greens.

You don't have any rings. I have one. So it'd be a green. Yeah.

You're black. So I got two successes. I got a success in three advantage. Yeah.

So I got two successes one advantage. You got one success and three advantage. So I succeed. You have two advantage.

So you don't steal the spear. So I don't. I don't disarm him. But I definitely pull him off his feet and pull him closer to me.

Okay. Like within closer grappling distance. Okay. I'm just sitting in your bank attention.

You're in a bind. It's all. Fuck. Okay.

How does a grenade not go off? No, it goes off. Just not where you wanted to go off. Here is the result of that role.

So it's one failure and one success. So cancel out and it's three advantage. So first off, what does that advantage do for you? It happens slow enough that I'm able to duck out of the way.

Okay. So what's going to happen is I'm going to roll a 10 and it's going to be essentially what direction does it go in. So one is north. I guess there's wind and movement.

Yeah. Man, I wish I had a T12 here, but I don't. So let's just say it's like 10. You know, 10 is the top.

Five is the bottom and then like three. To add some color commentary. So I've been on a boat before in the ocean and I've definitely tried like someone's tossed a beer at me like in while we're on the boat in the ocean while the boat's driving and I definitely have lost a beer in the ocean because both of us forgot about the fact that an object in movement versus when you put it up in the air and then yep. So I've done that.

So yeah, this is what I'm imagining is happening right now, which is a dumb thing for everybody. Okay. So if you, so I roll in one of this is going to go past him. I roll a fight.
