Tidefall E9 (1/3)

from Des Moines and Dragons · host Paul Privitera

Last time on Tidefall... Flip found himself alone in the home of a high ranking Brass Guild leader. When his stealth operation unsurprisingly failed, he reverted to child tactics. "Sir, please help. I'm lost". But then when it was time to go, Flip "Flipped" the guy and started a surprise brawl. After a quick capture and interrogation of the unsuspecting guard, they learned 2 things. The boss Mr. Cobb was in the house, and the bomb maker "Les Baker" (Yes that Les from Episode 1) was at the factory. The crew decides they need to find Les. But before they go, they had to pass off the information about the boss man to the Children of Yantis. Maybe they could do something about it. So while Saltgang and cultists go off to try and capture Brass Bossman, stealth operation v2 goes into effect. They go back to the warehouse. It is being protected by clockwork alarm drones, and some Brass Guild members with fancy guns. Thanks to some cool maneuvers by Flip, and quiet guidance from Hera the crew is able to find their way to Les unharmed. But they need the key. Queue the fight music. But this time the group has an actual plan, and a fancy new cyber armshield for our boy Salt. One quick fight later, the group has Les and they high tail it back to the hotel room. But not 5 minutes later there is a banging on the room. Saltgang is back. They are freaked out. Apparently the Brass Guild is going to blow up the capitol, Tidefall. What will happen next? Find out now.

It is episode nine. It's another month for everyone else. For us, it's been like a day. Still quarantine.

I mean, yeah. We are taking advantage of point in time to record podcasts. So I hope you guys are enjoying it. So we're not really going to go around the table and say we've been up to because that hasn't changed.

We've gotten some sleep and that's about it. Speak for yourself. Identifying plots of land to sell on my island. The important business at hand.

Oh yeah. And I owe Tom the so much money. But like those interest rates though, you got to jump on it. It's a good deal.

Zero percent is insane. Yeah. Nice. So that's what happened.

But yeah, no pretty much just nothing. So outside of that, since I don't have a lot of things going on, I think we're going to go back and do another round of like interesting facts about the world because we didn't do that last time. But I want to kind of go back and sort of talk a bit more about it because there's lots of stuff going on. So on my end, I figured I would talk about tidefall.

So the reveal that happened at the end of last episode was tidefall is not just a name of the show, but tidefall is also the capital city. So what tidefall is, it's the first airborne city. It was when the waters came and the military went to the skies, tidefall was the first city they had. It's effectively what was originally was an old, old military base that they just plopped it up into the air.

And because it was huge, it became that first city and then it grew out from there. It became this really big scrolling city. It's giant metropolis. It's easily the biggest city in the world.

It was compared to pre-apocalypse. It was not the biggest city, but post-apocalypse, like it's huge. It's big. It's massive.

There's so many ships, so many shipyards, lots of giant, giant metros and slums and everything you would have in a normal big city. This thing has, but it's just up in the air. It's really cool. Is it Area 51?

Is it Area 51? No. I mean, is there a way to go on there? Yes, but is there a 51?

No. Oh, tidefall is really good. There's definitely three. There's definitely three spheres.

What made the weather happen? Oh, the government did it. It forced us all into... Aliens.

We are so much easier to govern now. Oh, 100% of us are Ted. And the alien overlords have much easier time controlling us when we're all in these little ships. Lizards love water.

Actually, lizard people. Man, this is so many different... You just throw one idea at me and I love it. This is great.

Oh, yeah, that's tidefall. At some point I'm sure it'll see a lot more about that, but tidefall is a place. It's cool. It's fun.

It'll be a cool place when we ever get there. So what's going to next? Ted, Chris. I'll go.

Since I see my name first and I assume that I'm at the top of the list for everybody. Yeah, I'm going to talk about death in tidefall since we have probably, you know, reeked a fair amount of havoc so far. I mean, only one of you has almost died, but there's been a lot of other people that have died. Other people died.

Probably a fair number of grieving widows and widowers. So in tidefall, world, when people die typically they're cremated and only people who don't have money for a funeral or they owe a lot of money. Basically a popper's grave. Everybody just gets thrown off the ship.

Yeah, it has space. So that makes sense. You don't have a lot of space. You're not doing traditional burials, obviously.

A lot of it's kind of started from the time, you know, attitude surrounding like the water being, you know, kind of an enemy force, something that you're constantly fighting against. So nobody really wanted to go back down there or at least initially. So that's kind of where that practice came. So there's usually like big, kind of, maybe like a religious hall where you can kind of store ashes of people and kind of go and visit all of the relatives kind of in, you know, tiny little kind of spaces.

They're all sectioned out. But yeah, for the most part, that's for people who can afford a funeral or have somebody who can afford after that. But everybody else anonymous does that sort of thing. For smaller ships, I assume it would be something where the ship, if it's a ship of 10 or 12, someone dies, they probably would go down to like C level and do like a proper, proper burial at C.

But for the big city ships, obviously you can't do that. So then it becomes either a thrown overboard or B if they're real rich, sort them somewhere. But that's expensive. Yep.

So, I mean, you know, at the end of the day, you do what you can. So if there has to be an anonymous burial, you do that. But yeah, that's my fact for today. Let's talk about death.

Has anyone tracked the number of kills they've had in the campaign? Absolutely not. Okay. It's a lot.

In one of my campaigns, it ran for two years. One of the players tracked every single kill he got, mostly because this character didn't really fight and other people did. So every kill was actually pretty impactful to him. But yeah, it's most games, it just becomes this bloodbath because that's what heroes do, right?

Yeah. You say you're heroes, but you just kill lots and lots of people. It's why the term murder hobo is a thing because they don't live anywhere and they just go around killing everyone. I love that one.

Damn it. To flip head, I'm dwelling. See, the funny thing is, well, we kind of make fun of the fact that he lived in a fact. But like, most heroes don't have at any point in the campaign, begin middle or end, have a home.

Unless you're playing a very niche down to earth campaign, people don't live. They just, their adventures in the world, you mean a bar, and then you travel through the world until the campaign ends when either you defeat the final boss on the game ends or you die and never have a home. And so, in fact, we have a character that had a home, even though we make fun of it literally having a peep or an effector. It was a home.

You had a residence. It was not a great residence, but it was a residence. And for a hero, that's saying something. Did it.

So, Ted or Chris, in Ching Fact? Yeah, I can take it. I don't talk a lot about flips past, and the show doesn't really like to speak about it. But he's kind of, he's been some story performed his worldview in the way he perceives himself in it.

I wanted to kind of go through one of those. Salt and hair at work. The first people to try and flip on and try to take care of him. There was this family, a husband and wife, which they didn't really, they took, they took Flip In at one point pretty early on after Flip Emerged.

Okay. Yeah. So you had, you had Flop at this point. Flop has been with me since.

Since like day one of Emerged. Okay. So they took us in, put us up for a while. Eventually it comes out that Flip is dead.

Essentially, he's a revenant, you know, with acting under my man, and to science. But they keep him anyway. They want to try and help him. Eventually the words went a little bit farther out on the small ship that they went on.

And then people start coming to, like knock on the door. They start breaking windows and stuff. Telling them that they're monsters, monster lovers, the nation, or drown themselves. Is that one of the first times you heard the term revenant is like a big bad?

Is like essentially your neighbors back then? Yeah. The kinder one who's like revenant, a lot of them called me like, zombie, or like my mother was a robot or something, you know, stuff like that. Okay.

Sort of a robot. People aren't clever what they mean. Eventually it came to the point where things were getting very dangerous in the middle of the night, Flip In Flop. Sort of just ran away.

Okay. And then you, that's when you went to like one of the bigger cities, like when we met you at the first ship? Yeah. So from there, Flip sort of realized that hiding out on a small ship is never going to work out where it spreads too fast.

There are too few people to blend in. So he started finding larger vessels to live on and try and make his way. The one that Salt and Terra found him on wasn't the first big that he went to. He eventually had to leave that one because he was still learning how to feel baked goods.

Okay. Victory is, yeah. I think he had a couple with a lot I needed to, you know. Yeah.

Cool. So I made these credit fortunes by not buying pasters. Okay. And Chris.

All right. I think the fact that I was going to talk about was the, they call it the central Regents Palace, which is kind of like the Capitol building of TIEFALL. As part of the freelance explorer board, you had to go to the Regents Palace because the administrative office was there. And the building is about, I want to say 12 to 15 stories tall, just alabaster white, you know, the anchor and like both wheel.

The government logo is like a bright brass when the sun hits. It's a pretty building, but an audacious building for, you know, being in the middle of this massive massive ship. So like, and on the inside, like black and white marble, well, granite on the inside. Every railing and door knob is highly polished brass.

And salt remembers, but also salt remembers not old, never liking to go in there because it just all the opulence was not his style. And it never really jive with him ever. So. Okay.

And what all what you went there specifically for was it very? It was it was various jobs when you went to go turn them in in order to get payment, at least for the more official contracts in the early days of the freelance explorer board. So you had to go in, you had to get the administrators. Oh, brace stamp or what sort of looking for the people that stamp official documents.

The word is right there, but it is. There you go. Get the rotaries. Yes.

Get that stamp to make sure that we have exactly and then when you turn it in. Get rid of the profession. It was still trying to maintain a sense of order. You know, so you had to get the notary to make sure that everything was official and then you went over to where the treasury office would be and get your payout with the notarized completion of contract.

Gotcha. So then you whoever gave the job, you then, you know, take him and notary over him to the notary. He says it goes and already signs that you then take that document to treasury. You get them.

They give you money. So it's like super superficial. Like, yeah, this is like, instead of just like being like, Hey, it's like, Hey, it's like, it's like step one step two step. It's just all these like, yeah, that makes sure that everything is done correctly or else, you know, where would it be better.

Right. I know later on, self like taking these less official jobs was nicer because there was no, you know, three, four and five middle men to go through before you got to the money. You need to guy in a corner and it's like, all right, here's your pay. Is this place with sort of like cemented your dislike?

Like it's like a authority. Yeah, you always kind of want to just like, you know, fuck him over here and there. So yeah, absolutely like, you know, because he spent hours. It's like going to the DMV.

You have to, but you don't want to. Like he hated that. And then of course, when he went down the way with a nice amount of change in his pocket, he would go to an entire section of the city where his favorite div bar was and you've got like tenements wrapped out shacks of just completely scoured factories and it just, you know, how can this giant opulent palace be in the middle of all this bullshit. And then he's drinking for you to get about it.

Oh yeah. So I think that's that we're going to let our narrator guy just happened last time and then we're going to get into this episode of Tidefall. Be right back. Take it away, weird voice.

Last time on Tidefall, flip them himself alone behind breaking brass and leader in the cell vibration, unsurprisingly failed. You're going to do child tactics. So pretty. It's here by us.

But then it's time to go flip to the guy and start to be surprised. But they need the key. Can you have the fight music? This time the group has an actual plan.

Fancy new cyber hardship for our police cells. One quick fight later, the group has less and they hide Taylor back to the hotel room. But not five minutes later, there's a banging on the room door. Salt gang is back.

They're freaked out. Apparently the brass field is going to blow up the Capitol Tidefall. What will happen next? Find out now.

And we're here. At the end of last episode, there was the surprise revelation that one, Tidefall is not just a podcast but a city. And two, brass field is going to blow it up. The city, not the podcast.

What? Yeah, no. We're fine. We've got quarantine.

No one come to buy. We're safe. Conspiracy. So, it's just a tidefall conspiracy.

Yeah. Oh, totally. So when we do the conspiracy thing, we tidefall, there's some podcast. We've already got content.

This is going to be great. We do. We're ready. So they're going to blow up the city.

Salt gang rushes in. It's just the two of them. They did not bring Nell. They did not bring Maximus.

They did not bring the dude you captured from last time. It's just the two of them. The two most important people. Most important to flip.

At least important to Hera. Someone in the middle, I think, himself. So they burst in. They say they're going to blow up the city.

They're going to blow up the tidefall. And we pick up the air. What do you guys do? What do you say?

What's going on? I think everybody probably tries to talk at the same time. Most people would know what tidefall is but flip probably does not know what tidefall is. So, yeah, so I'll put her to answer.

It's the capital city where the government is located. And I think she just ignores the question and is immediately focused in on and asks kind of like start at the beginning. What are you talking about? Okay.

Okay. The beginning. So, well, you guys left. And then Nell and Maximus showed up and he's like, hey, we need to go to the place because, okay, they said, sorry, going too fast.

We need to go to the house and find the guy. And they said that the person we were watching and then they turn, oh, the person were what? Oh, he's back there. Okay.

I think he's with Maximus. Oh, well, we, well. Nice job, Demases. No, they took charge.

Okay. It's not my fault. So, we went to the house and Nell was like, oh, what's going on? My fault.

So, we went to the house and Nell was up on the roof and Nell was going to sneak in like a ninja. Okay. And Maximus was near the front door and he was, well, if things needed to go loud, Maximus was going to go loud. He's going to dead.

Yeah. Yeah, he is. And then we were at the back door and we were back up. Okay.

We were there already in case they tried to run away. So we were back up. So we were sitting outside the back door and there was a window open. Okay.

So, you know, we were overhearing. This old dude talked to these girls and they were talking about how, you know, doing his job done and he was going to blow up the city and it was all going to be ash and fall into the ocean. And then he said, tidefall and I thought he was talking about a regular city, but then he mentioned tidefall, like the big city that there's so many people in tidefall. So they're going to blow up the big city and he was going to do his job blow up the city.

And then the girls are going to tell him, I don't know what they're doing. And he just said, get their job done. And then we heard a crash and we looked up and Nell was jumping in the window, but then it wasn't loud and then we heard gunshots and things went bad. And then there's a big bang.

And I think, I think Maximus went in the front door because there was gunshots. We were just, we were back up. We were waiting for people to run away and then Nell fell out of the window. He like just bang.

And he was shot and bloody and we like, grabbed him and like ran down the street and we went to the meetup point. Okay. The point is where where Maximus said, if things go bad, you come to the meetup point. So we were there and Nell was like barely alive.

Okay. He was, he was bloody and we tried to give him first aid, but I'm not good at that. We, we, I'm good at. Para interjects.

You're not good at anything. Hey, hey, we heard the evil plot. Okay. So there's that we were.

So get to the end. Where is Nell and Maximus now? So Maximus got to the, the backup point and then, and then he started doing first aid because he's apparently can do that. And then he said, oh, he said to go get you guys and we forgot because there was a bomb plot.

You guys got to come with us. Right. Perfect. Yeah.

He's right now. Let's, and then he just starts waving like it was out the door that he came. All right. Here's Joe.

What? How about you take us and Aria meet our new friend and make sure he doesn't go anywhere. And then Aria just looks over at, at, at, I'm so bad with names. Less.

Less. Okay. Mr. I will make sure you don't go anywhere.

Hair is like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Everybody pause. First of all, salt gang.

I don't know if I believe everything that you said, like you're incompetent and I don't trust you. They're incompetent. They do not lie. Step.

That's number two, like if this, if this is a real bomb plot, if they're really going to blow up the biggest city in the world, should we do something about that first? Like, why not, why don't we tell somebody or go somewhere? They might have picked something up that these two didn't. So it might be worth checking out less.

So how many of these things did you make? Go quick. While you're talking, Joe raises his hand. What Joe?

Harry is like cutting off. Sorry. I was right. Everybody else was wrong.

We should have gone to the house and not the factory. Sorry, less. No, okay. Continue.

Sit down, Hera. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Thank you. Phil. Joe. You had something.

Yes. I thought it was relevant information. I forgot about it. It's dark and it sounds like you may have hallucinated something.

Of course. Stupid Joe. Seeing things like usual. Joe, it's okay.

I'm sure it might be important, but it also might be that you, you know, you don't know what you saw. We'll put a pan in that. I think that you know, find those two. We need to go.

Well, he's shot. Oh, right. Yeah. So let's go.

And then Joe starts to leave and then a riot like looks back and forth. Like do I go? Do I go? Do I go?

Do I go? And he doesn't know what he's looking? Watch him. Okay.

Watch him. He pulls out his gun and points it out. I'm like just doing it like that. But he normally does love it.

Okay. Yeah. Gunpointed. Unless like what the I'm not and then he raises his hands again.

Like okay. It's just the utter chaos that is. You're a bad making man. We're going to go.

Let's figure out a way to neutralize those stupid things. Also, Uriah, before we go, just, you know, there's a good chance we're not coming back from this. So, you know, blow up the ship if we don't come back. Thanks, bye.

And she just walks up. And then you guys leave mid like him trying to try to get more information. Good. How do you?

And then you guys go. So, speaking of you guys have had quite the night, I think we need people. We've definitely ended a scene. I want people to roll a what is it?

A cool check to get rid of your like things after what is it? At the end of the counter, players can do a discipline or a cool check. Because right now I don't want you guys to get another fight when flip has three string. So, everyone can roll me a discipline or a cool check.

Every success removes our string. And then if you guys like take if you guys get some sleep tonight, which may or may not happen, you can recover everything. Who knows? I did it.

I did it. I did it. I did it. Yes.

Great. And that's under. It'd be a skills. Yeah.

It'd be a discipline or cool. That's not great. So, a flip does not recover any. Flip gets three advantage.

But unfortunately, advantage. Don't do anything here. Sulf are covers too. And then Hera.

Yeah, I'm still looking for it. I think it's a general school. You'd like the big top. The block skills.

Awesome. Okay. Rolling. Rolling.

Rolling. Just to add to the. Yeah. having a hard time keeping up with everything that's going on.

So, I'm assuming you have a copy at some point we'll just continue and then whatever happens I'll let you modify. But yeah, you guys recover. Flip, unfortunately, does not, I think because he's having a hard time keeping is cool right now because well, there's a lot of stuff going on. So, and then yeah, Joe, which is like, he's like rushing and like basically running towards this direction.

It's right up on flop during this. Yeah, he's like writing on top of flop. And if you like take a look at him, you can see like his, he's kind of got like a like a thousand yards there. And he's like his, like his knuckles are white and shaking as he holds onto flop.

Like he won't admit it, but he is having a rough time trying to level up with everything. Very stressed out. Yeah. And just for note, if you go into another one or two bad roles and a flip is just gonna like pass out from stress, because like he's like, he's on that brink.

If you do a fight and you go berserk at the end of the fight, you will fall asleep basically. So I was gonna be my surprise. Flip is flip is on the edge right now. So, okay.

So you guys rush there. It's probably it's a few minutes. It's not it's probably about halfway between here and the dootouse. So it's probably five or ten minutes like run.

It's a longer walk, but right now you are definitely running. So eventually you guys make it there. And what you see is you see like tied up push up against the wall is the old guard that you captured. Okay.

And then other than that, there is a nail on the ground and then Maximus over him trying to like stop the bleeding, but he is very, very hurt. I immediately run up and start helping him with his medicine check. Okay. Okay.

So let's do open up this. It's gonna be it's difficulty. Oh, how many injuries does this have? It's current through and threshold.

It's definitely three purple. And then there's gonna be a black because when you approach him and maybe you don't see this at first because like Maximus is sort of saying over him, but he does look cat-like. He's got fur and like weird ears. He looks funky.

And there's her is cool role. I don't know why I went twice, but you recover three string. So flip on your end. It's typically three.

There's one black dice because his body form is not normal. How many blue dice do you get from your surgeon? I don't get blue dice. It'll just heal at one additional wound for my two rank surgeon.

Gotcha. Okay. So it's gonna be difficult check, but you'll heal extra wounds. Okay.

Cool. It's gonna go in mind. Let's see medicine. Let's hope the dice work this time.

I feel like I should. Nope. Okay. Okay.

Here when we get here. Okay. So during this while flip is healing him, what is Salton here doing? I think I go over to the guy tied up against wall like you didn't lead it then into something.

Did you? No, I just took him to the house and then they tied me up and I just I said that's the house and that's all that's all I did. I swear. I promise they they left me here and they said if you leave, then I'll kill you.

So I didn't leave. I just stood right here because that the big guy and he points over Maximus. He's he's kind of scary. So so I just I waited things.

He ran in the door and then he ran out the door like a few minutes later. So I'll just kind of glare his Adam and just shakes his head and then smacks him really hard on the on the wound. Okay. So we cut back to flip.

So flip you you're trying to heal this guy and something about his like weird body form or the fact that he's just really like you've done first aid before, but this is not first aid. This is someone that is on the brink of dying and you realize that there's just nothing you can do. You don't know what's going on and you're freaking out because someone who you respect and you know, he was nice to you. He's kind of helped you out here and there.

You try to help him and you can't. You take two points of strain. Yeah, you're trying to heal him and you're just you're failing. I think Harris sees this and she doesn't I mean she sees how stress he is and she doesn't say anything which is probably where he's never seen flip anywhere near this level of stress.

Yeah, she decides not to say anything about it, but she just goes over and helps and I think she's going to try her own. Stop bleeding. That's how that always works. I'm going to give you a blue dice because both flip and I guess do you have do you is Max was still helping or do you guys like push him aside?

I don't see like I see him probably doing something else. I think he stays but honestly, okay. I think he's got one strangers to take over someone that's a comrade. So yeah, I'll give you I'll give you a blue dice because yeah both flip is there and Max was there sort of giving guidance.

Yeah, and so I've also got surgeon. So let's roll. Oh, that went really fast. So let's see.

So that is a null nothing. So if you want, you can spend a story point to gain to buy one success and then you will have healed a little bit. So I think you would have healed too with surgeon. What does surgery do exactly?

So I think it just adds an extra. Okay, so I think on success you heal one. So if you spend a success, you will heal him up to spend that. Go ahead and then I'll get two too.

Okay, so he heals a couple wounds. So now let me open him up. It's exactly what we did. So let me just grab a random guy.

Okay, so he is he's got, you know, some health. He's like he like wakes up and there's like a big gasp of air. He's like, and like he looks around and sees, you know, you guys surrounding him and do you guys do something immediately? And really I'm looking for flips.

He actually was the one who's like freak out because he thought that he just talked it up. I think it falls back onto his ass. Like when he wakes up, like he's on his knees kind of working when he like his eyes open up and he takes that big breath. He sort of just like falls backwards and almost like collapses.

So yeah, you just you fall backwards and you don't actually collapse. But yeah, you just a moment of like freedom basically. Just giving this guy a character sheet so that we can track his health because he's real buckered. Okay, so he like he wakes up footfalls backwards.

Salt, as you're entering this guy, you just hear the like the heavy breathe inward as now like wakes up. Then Maximus, I think something you've probably never seen before. Salt is Maximus like, grabs him and like he, it's like a brief moment where he like holds his shoulder something because he's like very happy that he's alive. I don't know if he saw a moment of like softness and acts before, but he definitely was like, yeah, so he was always like, uh, I'm in command.

Never show weakness kind of things. So this is yep. And like it's not like it's a fun like hug and brace, but it's more like he grabs his shoulder and like you like holds it like characteristic moment of honor ability. Yep.

So so I think Cara kind of starts to ignore the patient and she kind of looks up at Maximus and says, okay, so what's this I hear about a bomb plot? What bombs? Joe. And then Joe, okay, well, so Maximus went in the front door.

So he didn't hear the stuff that was happening in the back. So they're uh, they're gonna, they're gonna cut she cuts him off. Wait a minute. So you're saying that the entire you're the only one that knows this for sure.

So we have to take your entire this basically millions of people on his word. Are you serious? Nothing but good to us. He has, he's unique.

That's not a basis for trust. Give everyone a fucking break. God. Like still got like her hands like covered in like, I've done bad.

All right, let's go inside. We are outside. In like an alleyway. And as you guys do that, I think Joe sort of like quietly to himself, but I think Harry over here's an I'm not sure who else over here's like doesn't just me.

All right. Also heard it. And then you guys. Hera, Hera, Hera absolutely hears that and she just kind of glares at him and she says, you and you come here and talk to me.

I want to hear this entire story and I want to hear it without a single stutter got it. And so while yeah, so she like positions them like when she's finishing up with now, she's like, okay, full story. And you're talking to Joe and who? Well, right is back in the room watching less.

Perfect. So just Joe. So do we any like looks around as you guys are just like in an alley out in, you know, you're not there's not crowds right where you're at, but you know 10, 20 feet in either direction. There's like streets with people in them.

Are you sure you want me to say it all here? Well, do it. Okay. So I think flipping thought head off and drank cool.

Okay. Do we do we follow up on salt because he's essentially going to repeat what he said just much more calmly? Okay. So he's like, okay.

So we were sitting at the back door and they were talking about he's got this job. And then we like the camera pans over to flip and salt is flip is like, like again, like reeling and you know, very stressed out and she's the only one who's having a right night. Oh, I know. I know.

So do you know, that's how she is? Just trust control everything. That's her way of trying to cope too. You're pushing too hard.

You know, it's just Joe and her. I did. They did. They did a good job.

They helped. They're the only reason we have any information and she's just you know, her. She doesn't trust very easy. She doesn't really trust either of us really, but you know, well, she needs to get over it.

Oh, I know. Some people won't do some things, you know, I think, uh, uh, Saul reaches into his, uh, coke, pulls out a flask and offers it to flip and he goes, no, no, no, it's not the hard stuff. This is water. I'm still reeling from my last time.

Yeah, I could use some water. Take it. Yeah. It takes a, it drinks the whole thing.

Okay. Just like, you know, girl, girl, girl. Yeah, the whole like he holds it up to his mouth for like entirely too long. Yeah.

Damn, son, that wasn't a small one. Thanks. You want to stay here? Do you want to go back to the room with a riot?

Because I don't know how much you I left in you. I don't know what you're talking about. I see how dragged you are. When I saw what you did to that guy, I'm worried.

You don't look like you got much left on the tank. It was him or me. So not faulting you for what you did, but that drags on a man. Trust me.

I know. So if you want to go back and take a breather and relax, which looks like you need it with a riot, I'm not going to, I'm not going to say go on, but I'm not going to keep here either. Do you want to take a break? Are you tired?

I'm all right. I think during this, during this flop, like, sort of nuzzles into your back leg, like, because he can tell that you're stressed and he's like trying to comfort you. I'll leave it here to think about it. I'll go see what's going on up there.

But your choice, you've proven you're worth. But I don't want you to push so hard that you wind up passing out or something. Okay. And I think after that, so comes back up the alleyway to meet the other people to see what's going on.

Okay. And yeah, we just we just got back in to him like, okay, so they were talking about that. There were these two girls, I don't know who those girls were, but they had some other job to do. He never mentioned what it is, but they had to do their job.

Oh, salt. And she cuts him off. Okay. I believe you.

Thank you. Reservately. But let's say hypothetically, you're telling the truth. Did you get a good enough look at the faces of those two girls?

I didn't see the faces of the girls. I saw the hair color uniform. The guy was standing with his back to the window and he was an older guy. Definitely.

The guy, again, I saw he gave his older guy, either had a like a smooth hat or he was bald, but the girls, they were in the room. I didn't see them. Great. Perfect.

So here's where we're at. This one, she points to now is stable, but not like great and probably going to die, but don't tell him that. Maximus is over here. He still has to explain his side of the story about how this all went to shit.

So basically you and I are the ones who have to make a decision here and flip his back. Take a break down the other side of the alley. You saw drag is. So are we going to?

I mean, there's a perfect great Maximus go. Okay. So I left, well, the Joe and Ryan help back in case things went bad. I was going to go on the front and they were going to watch the rear.

Now it goes up top. He's going to grab the old guy. We thought he'd be asleep and it was late. We thought, oh, he'll, you know, old dudes, they sleep went up top and something happened.

I heard a crash and gunshots. So I go inside and I see, you know, burst in the front door. There's probably two or three guards. Old dude talking these two chicks.

One of them is a, he likes snaps his fingers like the girl, the girl at the factory that you, any points to her, you were like tracking her. One of them was her. That's definitely what I didn't want here. Yeah.

Old dude talking these two chicks. And then these three guards came at me, you know, one of them had gone and the rest had some blades and they charged me. I knocked one of them out and got out of there. I wasn't taking on the whole damn army by myself.

Not with, I thought it'd be a quiet job. Everyone's asleep. But no, no, no, no. Shit's going down right when we go there.

So I got the fuck out of there. Thankfully, I went back to the real, you know, the convergence point and Joe and Riah had a bloody hump of Nell. And he, you know, he looks down to him when he says that. And he's, you know, like, and then I think he looks at him.

He's like, by the way, I didn't say that. Thank you. And he's thanking Joe for like getting Nell out of there. So I don't know anything about whatever bomb plot or, you know, who the girls, I don't know, I didn't hear anything.

All I know is I saw. Old dude talking to the two girls. One of them was the one that you tracked. That's all I know.

It was not the quiet job. We were trying to be perfectly frank. So if you saw one of the women, would you be able to possibly identify them even just like with the back of the head or something like that? I mean, potentially.

I think it's, I'm thinking it's Leah. And right now, do you think we could find Leah sometime in the next five hours? If she's, if there's really a bomb plot, she's really involved. Presumably she's going to try and get out of town soon, right?

Maybe even faster since this whole thing happened and they announced themselves in such a spectacularly loud way. Maybe we should, if we can get down to like the docks, maybe we can see her leaving and try and catch her before she leaves town. I think she's our only shot of figuring out, I mean, A, if this is real and B, what she has to do. Right.

Question is how much longer do we want to stay here? Do we want to try to trailer to the next spot? I mean, any other suggestions? Because that's kind of what I've got.

I think at this point, we come up and flip kind of says a few words to Maximus and then starts to carefully play now on Blob's back. Me and the almost dead guy, we're going to head back to the hotel and probably both taken out. Be careful. Probably tell Uriah not to blow up my ship.

Okay, you did down the blow it up. Well, I mean, so somebody's heading back, so just make sure. Good. Don't get yourselves killed.

Okay. Slow, careful, pin way back to the hotel. So we're not in a super big hurry, but I do want to make sure that no one sees the bloody mess on my dog. Right.

And yeah, and weird cat shaped bloody corpse mess on the giant robot dog is I'm sure. He's able to stand kind of but like barely. So, you know, he, he like turns over so that the bloody part is down. But like he's like every step that he takes on this, you know, because the robot is the legs, not the body, right?

Yeah. Okay. So it's not like he's laying down, you know, bloody wounds on metal. So that he can definitely do that.

And then, yeah, if one of you guys have one electronic cover coming up, you could salt takes the jacket off and cover it. Thanks. Careful. You too, boss.

Okay. And the groups, what's up? Every DM's favorite. So thanks, special.

I'm gonna go. Yeah, I know. Yeah, yours will probably just be like, okay. So I think we, you know, the camera stays at Salton, Hera as flip flop and Nell wander off.

Do you guys have Joe say with you guys in our maximum stay with you guys or do you have one of them go with flip flop and Nell? I say we keep the flip nose is way back and it's I think later night. So don't foresee them having too much of an issue. You just go on this at this point, it's probably it's morning the next day really.

Okay. Because it was it was middle of the night you went into the house and then you went back and you went back and you went back to the factory, then you went back to the house. So like a lot of things have happened. It's definitely morning at this point, right?
