In this episode, host Kerri dives into the Nautical Skills Competition, an annual event hosted by the Master Mariners of Canada NL Division in collaboration with Fisheries and Marine Institute. This competition challenges Nautical Science and Marine Engineering students to test their maritime abilities through a series of exercises, including vessel docking in high winds, fast rescue craft operations, and emergency situations.Joining us are two current Marine Institute students, Hayley North and Julia Young, who will share their experiences preparing and participating in the competition.
