Tigers Call Up Madden for Bullpen Boost | Detroit Tigers News

Detroit Tigers call up pitcher Ty Madden to inject fresh arms into a struggling bullpen, as starters like Casey Mize and Jack Flaherty falter with short outings and injury concerns. With a crucial series against the Cubs looming, manager A.J. Hinch taps Madden—whose solid ERA, sharp slider, and split-finger pitch make him ideal against right-handed lineups. Already logged seven games this season, including a start, Madden’s ability to strike out batters and limit walks, plus his recent shortened outing to prep for relief, positions him perfectly to help stabilize the rotation and keep the bullpen sharp as the season heats up.
