Tigers Face Blue Jays in Key Test | Toronto Blue Jays News

The Detroit Tigers are riding a five-game win streak, sweeping the Rockies and taking two of three from the Twins, as they head to Toronto to face last year’s AL champs. With a 79-70 record still mathematically alive in the playoff race, Detroit’s young roster faces a tough test against a loaded Blue Jays lineup. Manager A.J. Hinch is trusting his rookies, but they’ll need to elevate their game against Toronto’s elite pitching and offense. Troy Melton starts Game 1 after a rough patch, Drew Anderson looks strong in Game 2, and Keider Montero could return for Game 3 from paternity leave — setting up a pivotal series for Detroit’s future.
