Tigers Trade Stars for Future Prospects | Detroit Tigers News

Detroit Tigers pull off a blockbuster trade deadline reset, shipping off star pitchers Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize to snag a loaded haul of young talent. In exchange for Skubal, they land top prospect outfielder Zyhir Hope (23 HRs in Double-A), rising pitcher River Ryan, and promising arm Brady Smith. For Mize, they get lefty Kash Mayfield and veteran Jackson Wolf. With four high-upside prospects now in the system, the Tigers are betting big on rebuilding — bittersweet for fans, but strategically smart for the future.
