Tigers Turn It Around in Extra Innings | Detroit Tigers News

The Detroit Tigers clawed back from a brutal slump with a gritty, extra-innings win over the Twins, proving A.J. Hinch’s message is working: cut walks, shorten at-bats, and capitalize on opportunities. John Peck sparked the offense early, Drew Anderson pitched efficiently, and young stars Max Clark and Hao-Yu Lee delivered key hits. Despite bullpen woes that let the Twins tie it in the 8th, Spencer Torkelson broke his homer drought and Javier Baez crushed a three-run double in the 12th to seal an 11-6 victory — a hard-fought win that signals the team’s turning point as they head to Cleveland for a doubleheader.
