Tigers Win But Run Game Rusts | Missouri Tigers Football News

Missouri dominated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 54-14 in their season opener, led by a stellar debut from transfer QB Austin Simmons—252 yards, 4 TDs on 17-of-19 passing. But the rushing game stumbled with just 205 yards, exposing early-down inefficiencies and raising concerns for a team built around the ground attack. Defense struggled to pressure the QB until the third quarter and failed to force turnovers—a troubling trend without last year’s key pass rushers. Donovan Olugbode shined with 8 catches, 116 yards, and 2 TDs, hinting at his potential as a go-to target. While the win was comfortable, the Tigers must fix their run game and defensive pressure to stay competitive. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
