Tilly’s Return Could Shake Up Buckeyes | Ohio State Buckeyes Basketball News

Ohio State might be getting a surprise reunion with seven-footer Christoph Tilly, who could return for one more season thanks to a recent court ruling granting extra eligibility for the 2022 class. Tilly, who already entered the transfer portal, fits perfectly as a veteran big man with over 100 career games, solid stats, and elite passing skills — exactly what the Buckeyes need at center. But the move isn’t guaranteed: legal uncertainty looms, and bringing him back could disrupt chemistry and playing time for key players like Josh Ojianwuna (recovering from knee surgery) and Ivan Njegovan. The coaching staff faces a tough call — balancing immediate talent with loyalty and roster stability this late in the offseason.
