Tim Austing Joins Louisville Staff

Pat Kelsey’s big move: bringing in Tim Austing, a 27-year coaching veteran with a proven track record in Ohio high school hoops, as Special Assistant starting 2026-27. Austing, who led Sycamore to a district title and multiple conference championships, and previously brought Fairfield to the state Final Four, isn’t just a hire—he’s a trusted advisor and former teammate from Elder High, where they both played and he coached. Kelsey calls Austing one of the sharpest minds in any sport, and with his championship DNA and deep roots in the program, Austing is poised to help Louisville reclaim its glory.
